catskull is a new audio drama thriller from Andas Productions, the team behind the incredible Temujin and the DC High Volume Batman series. It is an adaptation of the award winning novel by Myle Yan Tay, catskull is a brilliant atmospheric neo-noir story that explores the violence simmering beneath an unforgiving city, with beautiful, immersive sound design bringing modern day Singapore to life.

I really love this series, it's single narrator without really being a single narrator audio drama, and it very slowly and calmly draws you in with it's quiet brutality. It's an incredible example of what audio drama can be, created by one of the best production teams in the world right now.

When we were making Land's End earlier this year and were grappling with the intricacies of a kissing scene in an audio drama, Andas Productions' work on Temujin was our high watermark on how to do intimacy in audio form.

The final series of The Tower will release as a 2-part special at the end of November.

The first episode, Summit, will release on Monday 24th November at 8pm GMT, and follows Kiri as she finally reaches the top of The Tower.

The second episode, Farewell, will release on Wednesday 26th November at 8pm GMT, and follows everything that happens after.

On both release days, we will be holding a special listen along stream on the Tin Can Audio Twitch channel with the cast and crew, as the episode goes live at 8pm GMT.

If you are a Twitch subscriber or a Ko-Fi member, you'll get both episodes on Monday 24th November ahead of the release. The episodes will also be available to purchase on Bandcamp.

A two part special, coming November 2025

Six years ago this week we released the first ever episode of The Tower. A lot has changed since then, I had no idea that this weird little idea for a story would take me down the path it has. I'm incredibly grateful to every single one of you who has come with us on this journey, you have all been very patient, and it is an honour to be able to share a trailer for the final part of this series.

Also, from today, right up until we finish the series, over on the Tin Can Audio twitch channel, I'm going to be hosting some listen alongs and behind the scenes streams of The Tower every Monday and Wednesday, including the day this releases, at 8pm UK time, 3pm Eastern. If you're just joining us or you want to do a full series relisten before the finale comes out, this is a great way to experience the show before we close the book on it.

If you listen to The Tower on Spotify you might have noticed quite a lot of episodes are missing from the feed. This is because Spotify has removed them due to 'potential copyright infringement'. All of Part 1, most of Part 2 and one episode of Part 3 are missing.

To be very clear, all the music in The Tower is composed and performed by me for this story. The generous explanation here is that, because we have released the soundtracks to the series, it's set off Spotify's automated systems and they've pulled anything that they think might contain infringing works.

I say the generous explanation because, at time of writing, we have not really been given one. We have been back and forth and round and round with Spotify support for months now and no progress has been made. We have made it clear time and time again that there is no copyright infringement in the series and that it's an error, but nothing has been restored, at time of recording.

To be blunt, it feels like we're either talking to an AI or to people who have no interest in helping us, and I'm not entirely sure which one is worse.

We are going to keep trying to get this situation resolved but, in the meantime, you can listen to the series in full anywhere you can get podcasts, it's just Spotify that's affected. You can also get Parts 1-3, as well as all the music for the show for free on Bandcamp.

This is just a quick announcement to say that the soundtrack for Part 3 of The Tower is now available to pre-order from the Tin Can Audio Bandcamp page.

If you pre-order the album you'll get my favourite track on the album, 'These Lifeless Things' right away, that's the track playing behind me.

The full album will be released on Bandcamp and on most streaming services on May 21st. I've put a pre-save link in the shownotes.

The score for Part 3 was some of the most challenging, but also some of the most rewarding, music I've ever had the pleasure of making. It ties together a lot of musical themes and threads from Part 1 & 2 while also introducing some of its own sounds and motifs.

It also has a lot of very, very tasty synth textures and we played around with a lot of tape effects with this soundtrack. I'm very proud of it, I think it's some of the best music from the series.

Thank to everyone who has listened and continues to listen to this series and its soundtrack. I can't quite believe we've made it this far!

We are in the process of figuring out the final part of the series. I don't really have any news other than that but I thought it was important to let you know that there is going to be another part.
