This week Tanner Sandel has stopped in to help you and me talk though how we can approach and get excited about talking though this week’s scripture in your DGroups. So thankful to have him on. We’ve got the highlight titled “Temptation”, and Tanner has some insight on the daily readings as well. We talk about the early life of Christ and the start of his ministry. Let’s go!
We’ve got a great first episode for you – some great info for you as we dig into Luke with our DGroups. Week one’s daily readings is through Luke 2:40 and we’re highlighting the passage on Simeon. To talk through the beginning of this gospel account, we’ve brought in the big guns. We have Chad Hutton with us, and he’s going to get us going in the right direction. This week is longer than usual, but all really good info from Chad. We hope you enjoy this episode and these next 14 weeks in Luke!
First, we have to introduce Luke - because we're starting this gospel account in our Dgroups in just one week! Also, we're in the Psalms and Proverbs now if you've been reading with us - and here's a look into one of the most famous Psalms: Psalm 23. How can we reconcile work and rest? What does it mean for us as we go into studying Luke?
Carter here, and we’ve got some exciting things coming up in the podcast. We've got Luke on the horizon! As we read the pslams and proverbs with intentionality up until January 10 - we are looking forward to reading the Gospel of Luke together. Can’t wait for that – but first let’s dive into what the Psalms and proverbs have already been showing us this last week and what we can look forward to in reading them in the next week as well. Let’s dive in.
We put a bow on Genesis, and now we are looking ahead to reading the Gospel of Luke! But before we jump into that study starting on January 10, we are going to take this time to dive into the Psalms and Proverbs. Why? Tune in!
Wow! We made it! It has been awesome going through Genesis with you all. What do these last few chapters say about hope? Let's look through the end of the book of Genesis - as we come to a bitter-sweet end to the story... but not really the end at all! What can we challenge your DGroup guys at the end of Genesis together? Also, we look forward to our study into the Gospel of Luke!
Hey, you need to download our app as we move into week 17 of the Genesis Journal! It has some updated content in there, and you definitely need to see chapter 45 of Genesis in your daily readings - so move into the app with your DGroup for the last couple weeks of Genesis. We made a mistake in the paperback copy, so please download the app. This week we're in Genesis 45-47:27 - and Joseph reveals himself to his brothers! Let's talk about it!
Carter and Jacob here as we talk through these chapters where his brothers encounter Joseph after years of separation because of their sin against him. Let’s look at Joseph and where humility ultimately got him. How can you be exalted in the kingdom?
Hey we're shining a light into a really hard time in Joseph's life, as we'll see in these chapters - Genesis 39-41:40 in week 15 of the Genesis Journal. Why does God put us through hard times? What does this say about God's will? What is sanctification? How can we be thankful through it? Let's dive in.
Thanks for poppin in this week to listen to the podcast as we hit week 14 in the Genesis Journal. Carter and Jacob here and we are moving into focusing on the life of Joseph in this weeks daily readings. We’ll tell you about what our thoughts are for Genesis chapters 36-38, and in our spotlight – we’ll share about how the story of Peter’s invitation to walk out on water relates to the story of Joseph. And we have a challenge for our DGroups! Let’s get right into it!
