Why should we fast in repentance?  That is a good question and one that we will gain a better understanding of in the book of Jonah.  There is a difference between saying we believe something and doing something about it. So let's dig a little deeper.

James tells us to receive the Word and do what it says. But, then, in the last verses of chapter one, he describes a worthless religion. So get your Bible, and let's dig a little deeper.
