Anthony and Laurie start with a wrap-up of this year’s Star Trek Day, highlighting some of the more interesting merchandise announcements and looking back at bigger events of the past. Then they review Strange New Worlds‘ “Orders of Magnitude,” which they both agreed was the best Jim Kirk episode yet despite having the flimsiest excuse ever for why he’s back in the Enterprise again. They talk about guest star Joe Morton, Uhura’s heroics, and more, then wrap things up by playing the audio from Tony’s very fun interview with Rebecca Romijn, done on Star Trek Day.

For Star Trek Day 2026 we have a bonus episode of the podcast with an interview with Star Trek superfan and the CEO of the Nacelle Company, Brian Volk-Weiss. Five years ago The Center Seat: 55 Years of Star Trek docuseries took a deep dive into franchise history, with 11 episodes that covered TOS, TNG, DS9, Voyager, and Enterprise, as well as the TOS movies. The series is produced by the Nacelle Company and directed by Volk-Weiss. Now the second season picks up where they left off, covering the TNG movies and the Kelvin movies with 5 more episodes, titled The Center Seat II: 60 Years of Star Trek. And it all drops today (Star Trek Day, September 8), Together Tony, Laurie and Brian take a deep dive into the 5-episode second season, all of which dropped today for Star Trek Day. We really get into the weeds on how to make a Star Trek documentary, who were the biggest interviews, how getting people like Rick Berman to open up, coolest insights revealed in season 2, and much more. He also gives us his thoughts on the Star Trek franchise today, what’s next for Nacelle’s Star Trek toys, and much more. The entire five-episode season of The Center Seat: 60 Years of Star Trek is available now on Amazon Prime Video, Tubi, Apple TV and Nacelle’s YouTube page. The All Access Star Trek podcast will be back on Friday for our regularly scheduled episode, reviewing episode 406 of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.

Tony is back this week, but with bronchitis lingering, he and Laurie are keeping this episode short, focusing entirely on Strange New Worlds. Tony does weigh in on last week’s puppet episode (because it was the puppet episode!), and then they launch into their review of this week’s episode, “Off-Hour,” which felt like good old-fashioned Star Trek. A good time was had by all.

Tony is out this week, so Laurie and guest co-host Dr. Ann Marie Segal (The 7th Rule, Creation Entertainment) take on the puppet episode! Anthony and Laurie give a quick recap of Star Trek Las Vegas, then talk through the news: The Pitt cast is doing a Star Trek table read, The Center Seat documentary is getting a second season and there’s a new Shatner doc on the way from Trekspert Mark Altman, Star Trek movies are rereleasing in theaters, and Pluto TV is launching new pop-up Trek channels. In the meantime, Mike McMahan has been talking about his hopes for a Lower Decks movie. Then it’s time to review the latest Strange New Worlds episode “A Case of Chiaroscuro,” which they have mixed feelings about. They wrap up with a quick look at Tony’s appearance on Virtual Trek Con and Laurie’s first script for Ranking with Roddenberry..

In this supplemental episode, Tony interviews Martin Quinn (Scotty) and Laurie interviews Dave Foley (Dendru) about the latest Star Trek: Strange New Worlds episode, “Human Best Friend.”

Anthony and Laurie are at the big Trek to Vegas convention this week, so there’s no news this week as they pre-recorded their review. They talk about Star Trek: Strange New Worlds‘ latest episode. “Human Best Friend,” digging into the stories they liked (Ortegas/Scotty), the comedy that really worked, and the areas where they felt it didn’t. A mixed bag! Laurie also briefly mention her favorite moment (which she forgot to mention last week) from Michael Dorn’s episode of Dropping Names with Brent and Jonny. This is a special bonus episode for both the TrekMovie podcasts: All Access Star Trek and Shuttle Pod. This is a live recording of the TrekMovie “Star Trek Status Report 2026” panel from Creation’s Trek to Vegas convention in Las Vegas, recorded on the opening day of the convention, Wednesday August 5. On the panel were TrekMovie founder Anthony Pascale along with his All Access Star Trek co-host Laurie Ulster, and Shuttle Pod co-hosts Matt Wright and Brian Drew, all TrekMovie.com editors. We had a spirited discussion about how Star Trek is at a pivot point, with things appearing to wind down while there are some some signs of optimism for the future. There were some interesting comments and questions from audience members as well. A regular episode of the All Access Star Trek podcast will post on Friday, with a review of SNW 403, followed by a supplemental featuring interviews with Scotty actor Martin Quinn and an exciting guest star from episode 403. Look for that supplemental to drop on Saturday.
