The Tribe Official Podcast

In a fascinating discussion, Damon chatted with Raymond Thompson (Executive Producer, creator of The Tribe) with both Damon in New Zealand at his home and Ray also in lockdown - and it is hoped that this podcast will help pass the time for so many who are isolated or stuck indoors around the world during the Coronavirus (and perhaps also give some refuge or comfort).

Damon is not only a tremendous actor but also a fantastic writer (and director) and discusses all manner of subjects with Ray from the situation affecting the world today with COVID-19 to Damon's involvement in The Tribe, the entertainment and television industry, his writing career on screen and the stage and so much more.

The Tribe is of course a drama set in a world in the aftermath of being afflicted by a virus pandemic, leaving the young people, teenagers and children left behind to build a new world, in a world without adults. It is also the 20th year anniversary since The Tribe was first broadcast in 1999 - and how ironic that many themes and elements in the series have resonated with the virus now affecting the real world in 2020.

As well as YouTube, episodes of The Tribe can now be watched on Amazon Prime Video in the USA and UK, Tubi, Pluto.TV and in high quality in many countries on Cloud 9's Vimeo channel https://vimeo.com/cloud9screenent/vod_pages/page:3/sort:date with more ways to watch we hope coming soon.

Both Michelle and Ray were 'together at home' during the lockdown - and it is hoped that this 'stay home with me' podcast will help pass the time for so many who are also at home or are isolated or stuck indoors around the world during the Coronavirus (and hopefully it will also bring some comfort or refuge).

In New Zealand, itself in lockdown due to the COVID-19 virus, Michelle talks about her career and many interests from dancing to music, the environment and nature to the state of the world today - and of course, her key role as Tai San in The Tribe TV series. A drama set against a world that has been devastated by a virus pandemic, leaving the young people, teenagers and children left behind to build a new world, in a world without adults - it is also the 20th year anniversary since The Tribe was first broadcast in 1999 - and how ironic that many of the themes and issues in the series have resonated with the virus now affecting the real world in 2020.

Tom was at his home in New Zealand and spoke with Ray about a range of subjects including the current Coronavirus pandemic, Tom's involvement in The Tribe TV series, his role in Cloud 9's series 'Revelations - The Initial Journey' and life in general, including some profound and important areas.

As well as being a tremendous and talented actor, Tom is also a fantastic musician, writer and has enjoyed much success as a producer of his own film productions. We hope you enjoy this 'together at home' podcast and that the series can provide some comfort, interest and even perhaps refuge during this difficult and challenging time.

The Tribe is of course a drama series set against a world that has been ravaged by a virus pandemic, leaving the young people, teenagers and children left behind to build a new world, in a world without adults - it is also the 20th anniversary since The Tribe was first broadcast - and how incredible and ironic that many of the themes and issues explored in the series are now resonating in the real world in 2020.

A gifted actress, Antonia was in New Zealand during the continued lockdown due to the COVID-19 virus and spoke 'together at home' with Ray (also in lockdown in Australia). It is hoped that this 'stay home with me' podcast will help pass the time or give some comfort for so many who are isolated or stuck indoors around the world because of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Antonia starred in Cloud 9's production of "William Shatner's A Twist in The Tale" before portraying the young teenage mother, Trudy, with all the challenges the character faced in the backdrop world that has been devastated by a virus pandemic, leaving the young people, teenagers and children left behind to build a new world, in a world without adults.

It is also the 20th anniversary since The Tribe was first broadcast in 1999 - and how paradoxical and ironic that so many of the themes and issues in the series have resonated with the virus now affecting the real world in 2020.

Michael first starred in Cloud 9's hit series 'The Legend of William Tell' before appearing as the iconic character Jack in all 5 seasons of The Tribe. In addition, Michael also played the lead role of Giles Gordon in Cloud 9's wacky cult spoof comedy melodrama, 'Atlantis High'.

With Michael at home during New Zealand's COVID-19 lockdown - and Ray indoors (in Australia) during the impact of Coronavirus there - the two discuss all manner of things, recorded 'together at home'.

The Tribe is of course a drama set against a world that has been affected by a global virus pandemic, leaving the young survivors, teenagers and children who are left behind to build a new world, in a world without adults. It is hoped this new interview (and the podcast series) can bring entertainment, possibly even comfort as well as a refuge for so many who are in isolation in these challenging times. It is also the 20th year anniversary of The Tribe - and how amazing that many of the elements and themes issues in the series are now resonating in the state of the real world in 2020.

Beth Allen of course played the iconic role of Amber in the series but also has a long association with Cloud 9 over many years. Beth first starred as Princess Vara in Cloud 9's hit series 'The Legend of William Tell' and also in "William Shatner's A Twist in the Tale", another Cloud 9 series. In addition to portraying Amber in 5 seasons of The Tribe and 260 episodes, she was also in Cloud 9's series "Revelations - The Initial Journey".

A fabulous actress on screen, Beth has also acted on stage in many theatre productions - and is a successful and talented producer in her own right.

Recorded during the isolation/lockdown period in New Zealand (and around the world in many countries) due to the COVID-19 Coronavirus, Beth and Ray shared a fun and insightful conversation 'together at home' which is hoped will help the time pass for so many who are currently inside or finding life challenging during this difficult time.

In New Zealand, Beth talks about her association with Cloud 9, work on The Tribe, fans of the series and also what she has been up to since the end of Season 5 - including becoming a mother in real life herself and the challenges (and joys) of motherhood.

The Tribe is a drama series set against a world that has been devastated by a virus pandemic, leaving the young people, teenagers and children left behind to build a new world, in a world without adults - it is also the 20th year anniversary since The Tribe was first broadcast in 1999 - and how prophetic and ironic that so many of the themes and issues explored in the series are now echoing in the state of the real world in 2020.

Thanks to Beth and Ray for taking the time to record this and we hope you enjoy this new podcast interview.

A new interview with the amazing Meryl Cassie (EBONY). A wonderful actress, singer, songwriter, performer, mother and so much more - Meryl had a conversation with Raymond Thompson (Executive Producer, Creator of The Tribe) on Monday 29th March 2020.

Both Meryl and Ray were 'together at home' during the lockdown - and it is hoped that this podcast will help pass the time for so many who are isolated or stuck indoors around the world during the Coronavirus.

Meryl is in New Zealand, itself in lockdown due to the COVID-19 virus - and talks about her love of music, family, the state of the world today and society, social distancing, isolation - and of course, her involvement in The Tribe TV series. The Tribe TV series is of course a drama series set against a world that has been affected by a virus pandemic, leaving the young people, teenagers and children left behind to build a new world, in a world without adults.

Danny and Ray recorded the interview on Saturday 28th March 2020 while both of them were 'together at home' during the lockdown - and it is hoped that this podcast, one of many anticipated, will help pass the time for so many who are isolated or stuck indoors during the Coronavirus.

Stay safe, stay strong and keep the dream alive.

As well as The Tribe, Ray is a lover of wine and has a vineyard in Martinborough, New Zealand called Tirohana Estate.  While so many around the world are in lockdown or spending so much time indoors - including Ray, the Tirohana team and New Zealand itself - we thought it would be a good way to help pass the time by adding new podcasts in the next few weeks.  The first is a podcast focused on what is happening now with the virus lockdown and Ray's vineyard restaurant, Tirohana.  This podcast is hosted by Ray himself, interviewing Tirohana's manager, Toby James.  Wishing everyone well.  Stay strong and stay safe.  Kia kaha.
