Sometimes in life we will begin to feel pressure over situations in which we are led to help others. Sometimes this requires us to do and say the hard things! Pressure begins to build because we see ourselves in a past season. Maybe we are forced to see our own trauma again. But in that pressure season is when God has called you to say and do the hard things. He didn’t bring you out just because he wanted to save you, but he brought you out because he wanted you to help save others!

Sometimes we get discouraged in the process and we forget the promises that God has placed upon our life! We quit producing seed because we don’t see any growth! I’m here to tell you today that the promise and the purpose is still on your life. Keep doing what you know, throwing out the seed and doing the work to produce the seed. You were meant to be fruitful and you are destined for purpose.

Sometimes in life when we’re looking to heal and be whole we have to first learn to be honest with ourselves and with others that we are hurting. Sometimes it’s hard to admit that our life is not how we envisioned it. But I’m here to tell you that God still loves you regardless of where you are, and that change is possible if you just take some simple steps.

With a world full of Technology, busyness, chaos in the pressure of always getting to the next big thing. We are lacking the ministry of presence. We are seeing more and more mental health issues because our world lacks personal presence. Let’s talk about how depression and mental health issues are described and laid out to us in the Bible. They do exist but we can be an advocate for God just by having a heart posture of being present with one another.

Sometimes we are extremely grateful for the big moments in our life but we forget to find gratitude in the small moments and each day. I am no exception to this. I have my day today struggles. But I am intentionally working on gratitude. Studies say that having gratitude brings more happiness, joy better relationships, and Attributes to good health. What are you grateful for today?

As we live in a world of brokenness, we have to make the decision to be a change agent in our own families and in our own lives. Can we stop asking God why and start asking for healing?

Sometimes we get into situations in our lives and we begin to tell ourselves all the reasons why nothing good could happen to us. I want you to know how powerful, strong and purposed that you are in your life. Stop serving those thoughts that are no longer serving you. Get into an agreement with God about where he’s trying to take you!

Are you in a position right now that you’re questioning the season of your life that you are in? As some of you may know yesterday was my 10 year anniversary of walking out of prison. I would’ve never imagined at that moment I would be standing where I am today. What are those things that you have overcome that you thought in that moment you would not make it through? Can you find even the smallest bit of gratitude in your day today? What small things have you prayed for that you’re living in today that you can be grateful for. This is your journey! This is your story, and there is purpose in this!

Are you discouraged and feeling defeated in the season that you are in right now? If so what is it that you can find today to be grateful for? Are you questioning God because he hasn’t revealed the purpose yet? Have you considered that you’re in a hidden season for a reason? His protection and provision is upon you, but what are you going to do in this season with what you have? God has not left you or forsaken you, but he created you on purpose for purpose. Don’t get discouraged in the small seasons because God is working on your big reveal.

God is trying to take you to new levels! Just like Peter you have been called and maybe you have failed or denied or gotten off track. But just as Jesus found Peter and called him again. You too are being called. It’s time to create a new normal for yourself. It’s time to break the chains of bondage and self sabotaging behaviors. It’s time to create the new normal!
