"Being aware of your mortality is maybe the most scary thing there is.

For me, one of the reasons why I’ve always moved so fast in my life, is because in the back of my mind, just knowing that I have a disease that’s so dangerous, I do everything I can to protect myself, but there’s still a clock ticking in the back of my mind, and it drives me to do everything I can.

There’s a clock ticking for you too. And you don’t know when it’s going to stop. How do you want to use your time?”

I can relate with the statement: "I've always valued my life, however I have never really known how to be truly happy within myself."

After reading Kamal Ravikant's book: 'love yourself like your life depends on it' I started a journey of learning to be happy within myself

But combining that with 'The positive thinking secret' I'm constantly glowing not only physically but also emotionally....

This is indeed an amazing life.....I only witness bad days from other people. I'm in control ..he he he !!! The first week I started saying ; there is no bad day...I ended up with a lot of questions in my mind but now I do not have to say it.....I live it ...and all these are reflecting on my 2 kids.

This is truly an amazing life!!!"

I loved hearing how Kamal's book and my book had 'randomly' worked together for such positive change in Carolyne's life without our awareness or intention, because Kamal is a friend of mine.

And so I'm stoked today to share a conversation Kamal and I recorded recently on this topic.

On the call Kamal share's the details of his transformative experience with learning to love himself.

Today’s guest is a TAL Family member who experienced a radical transformation in life and happiness through involvement in the Truly Amazing Life Family.

Her experience is extremely moving and very open as she describes in great detail how her thoughts shifted from total self-loathing and inner critiques, to daily basking in love and light and feeling the warmth of joy surround her life.

My inner truth was: You’re not worthy of success, you will never succeed. You’re not good enough.

Now I spend time every day in self-love.

Part of that is me spending time by myself before everyone else is up, and I spend time receiving love. Before I didn’t feel worthy.

And now I spend time allowing love and light to come inside my body.

And also looking at the skills and abilities I have and allowing myself to reach into the larger opportunities out there. I used to be working so hard to actually prove it, to cover up how unworthy I feel.

Now I just feel worthy.

My intention of being on this call is to let people know there is hope.

Katie is a coach and helps people get connected to their unique purpose and design a life that fulfills that.

She also hosts a podcast where she interviews entrepreneurs and focusing the conversation the human aspect of entrepreneurship

Remembering Who You Are

The message that I want to get out to the world is: We are not our circumstances.

I’ve always been the kind of person who seeks to learn a lot of things but the place I always resisted looking to learn was inside. Now I’ve started to ask my body what it wants. I'm asking myself questions, instead of asking other people for their opinion and guidance. And you know what? I’ve been answering. And that has been so profound. To know that the love that I was seeking outside of me, I have an infinite well spring of that inside, and all I needed to do was look in the right direction."

Leslie Stein is a wonderful story teller, a leader, and a coach. She’s also an author, speaker, and her website says she’s a 'Life Enthusiast’

I can totally vouch for that…Leslie is a person that is bursting at the seams with positive energy and enthusiasm for life. It’s infectious to be around her, so I felt privileged to be able to spend some time on the phone with her.

On this call Leslie shares a moving experience about her time in the Army when she was told some pretty harsh things by her commanding officer which sent her life into multi-year roller coaster that brings out many lessons we can all now learn from.

She has learned since that "Happiness is a choice that I make every single day."

She also told a cool analogy from her life about baggage.

"Sometimes you have to be willing to put down the baggage you’re carrying to get the things you really want.”

On the call Matt describes a profound life changing experience he had visiting a country where the people had almost nothing, and yet were way happier than he was.

He had the personal discovery then that happiness is created within.

I finally saw the connection that I didn’t things to be happy.

Before that I felt that if I didn’t achieve certain things that I wouldn’t be happy.

That’s not how happiness has to work.

Once I switched it, the most profound happiness came from when I helped other people.

That made me more happy than anything else that I had done previously. When I realized that it was like a drug for me.

2 main habits that led me to this breakthrough, prior to the epiphany experience with seeing those happy people.

1 - Meditation practice

2 - Daily gratitude practice.

I can attest that those things definitely rewire your brain.

Those are the two things I attribute most to my being happy."
