What does it actually take to keep a marriage strong when you're raising young kids, running multiple businesses, exhausted, ambitious—and very different people?
For this episode of The Truth About Healing, Dana is joined by her most personal guest yet: her husband, Eric Stein.
And yes, putting your husband on your therapy podcast is apparently a perfectly reasonable marital decision.
Dana and Eric have been together for more than a decade, built businesses side by side, become parents to two young children, and navigated plenty of conflict, growth, therapy, and change along the way.
This isn't a conversation about having a perfect marriage.
It's about what they've learned while building a real one.
Dana and Eric talk candidly about couples therapy, emotional avoidance, communication, ambition, parenting, division of responsibilities, resentment, risk, success, and why giving your partner room to grow may be one of the most important things you can do for a relationship.
Eric also opens up about his own experience with therapy—and what it was like learning to identify and express emotions as an adult after spending much of his life doing what many men are taught to do:
Push it down. Keep going. Handle it.
Because relationships don't stay strong because two people magically fit together.
They stay strong when two people are willing to keep learning how to fit together as life changes.
