The Truth (In My Opinion)

Comedian Lou Sanders is our correspondant this week. She brought some a collection of fascinating stories and had, as Cody predicted only read the headlines, but turns out she knew more than she thought! From first edition To Kill A Mockingbird's being found in charity shops to cancer causing pesticides we really do cover it all.

'AI isn't dangerous, it's just shit!' is the statement spilling out of Cody's mouth this week as he believes he's stumbled on a new theory. We're not all in danger of AI taking over and killing us, it's simply a story made up by the big billionaire bosses who've made a rubbish product and are too scared to admit it. What do you all think? Commentmaxxers get involved please! Plus Becky brings a tabloid story, UH OH!

Comedian Tadiwa Mahlunge is our correspondant this week. He prepared a pdf which was a podcast first and we really dig into his stories. This was the SUCH a good conversation and I urge you all to follow Tadiwa. He revealed a brand new take on why Palantir's involvement in our NHS is no good thing, plus more far right and billionaire madness.

'The billionaires are even ruining their tax havens now!' Cody and Becky are discussing their biggest news stories of the week and there's dogs, billionaires (again, tiring we know!!) and conspiracy theory riddled pensioners who are damaging UK traffic lights. A pretty standard week.

Lots of excellent comments from the commentmaxxers this week, keep them coming please.

Comedian Jen Brister is our correspondent this week, brought to you from our live show at The London Podcast Festival. Her headlines covered the UK Government's ban on trade and services involving illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank, Trump's mad commitment of 5,000 dollars to voters if the Republicans keep hold of the senate at the mid terms and the misindentification of the under 19s Pakistan cricket team as asylum seekers by far right extremists. Jen is on tour so make sure you grab some tickets to see her, but please don’t email her asking her to come to your city, she was very passionate about that. And don’t email me about coming to your city either because I am trapped in this podcast episode, speaking to Jen Brister! I’m busy!

'Non-political Ed Sheeran got it wrong with Macklemore'. Cody and Becky are discussing the biggest news of the week which sees an unlikely trifecta of some of our biggest musicians. But how wrong did Ed Sheeran really get it? Answer - very wrong.

Plus a story about a library book 116 years overdue and some dodgy Australian farmers freezing dead bodies.

Comedian and satirist Tom Walker is our correspondent this week. He brings, in classic Jonathan Pie style, a righteous fury about Nigel Farage's apparent inability to listen to important conversations about accepting illegal money for his party, Reform. There are pills being popped but not the fun kind, as OAPs are finding their over prescription of over the counter drugs being responsible for sending them to A&E. And Trump is at it again, this time in the form of dodging taxes.

'I do not give a s*** about Elon Musk!' Producer Becky's buttons get pushed this week as Cody wants to talk about how trauma might *possibly* have had something to do with Elon Musk being insane. WE KNOW! A new documentary looking into the life of Elon has been premiered at Venice Film Festival and we apparently learn that he is planning for a Civil War in America.

Becky want's to talk again about the public sector being coopted by private interests, with a new focus this week on child care providers. Cody outlines what colonialism for clicks is. Plus we chat through the recent far right AfD win in Saxony-Anhalt in Germany.

Comedian Gianmarco Soresi is our correspondent this week bringing us some headlines from the USA! The brand new SILENT Fast & Furious ride at Universal Studios has proven to not be so silent, with thrillseekers bringing the noise as they ride and boy is it upsetting some neighbours. Cody and Gianmarco get into the landmark Meta settlement over the mental heath of children, that really won't make even a tiny dent in their profits. Plus a new addition to drinks at Starbucks is literally making their staff unwell - and they don't care!

'I do think this is a case of woke gone mad!' A commentmaxxer has struck gold with a headline about a Titanic themed slide being forced to change it's branding after people were furious at the idea of any fun being associated with the disaster. But what happened when they did ultimately change the name of their slide?

Shock and horror, AI fraud detection might not always work! And which.co.uk have proved it in a No.10 Downing Street Hotel hoax.

Plus more is being done to remember the lives and history of Henry VIII's 6 wives!
