Situation across West Bank, not only Jenin, ‘really catastrophic’: Palestinian activist.

Israel's military operation in the occupied West Bank is in its third day. At least ten people have been killed in the Jenin refugee camp and two in the town of Burqin. 

Israeli military bulldozers tore up roads in Jenin and destroyed the infrastructure. And families from the camp have been forced to flee their homes. Many are sheltering at a local hospital. The raids have been taking place across the territory, but the largest Israeli army presence is in the Jenin refugee camp.

Israeli raids have killed at least 10 Palestinians in Jenin. Witnesses say the refugee camp is under siege, with Israeli forces having blocked off roads and cut off electricity. Hospitals are using fuel reserves to power up their emergency operations.

The US has spent over 100 billion dollars so far in military and financial aid to Ukraine since Russia launched the war in February of 2022, and Donald Trump believes America is just making the conflict worse.

Marwan Bishara, Al Jazeera's senior political analyst, discussed the potential impact of the rumoured death of Yahya Sinwar, Hamas leader, in an interview. He emphasized that no official confirmation has been made by either Hamas or the Israeli military. Bishara highlighted that previous assassinations of Palestinian leaders have often led to the emergence of more radical successors. He pointed out that the continued resistance is nurtured by the conditions of occupation. Bishara also explained that Sinwar, who spent 20 years in Israeli prisons, played a crucial role in uniting Hamas's political and military wings.
