Why did humanity need redemption in the first place? || The Truth Simply Put with PAV [As Broadcast on Radio]

In Episode 4 of The Truth Simply Put with PAV, Alexander Victor takes the next necessary step in unfolding the Gospel by dealing with the human problem that made redemption necessary. Humanity was not created distant from God, nor merely created to serve from afar. Man was made in the image of God, fashioned for dominion, proximity, fellowship, and communion with Him.

But something went terribly wrong.

In Adam, mankind turned from dependence on God to independence from Him. Sin entered, death followed, and what was lost was not merely good behaviour, but the very order of fellowship, the integrity of human nature, and the reflection of God’s glory in man.

This episode makes a vital distinction many still miss: man’s problem was not simply that he did bad things. The problem ran deeper than conduct. It was a condition problem, a nature problem, a corruption at the heart of humanity itself. That is why external reform, moral improvement, religious seriousness, or better rules could never solve it. Humanity did not merely need to “do better.” Humanity needed rescue. Humanity needed redemption.

And here is the glory of it: God did not abandon humanity. From the earliest pages of Scripture, the promise of redemption was already being announced. The Gospel did not begin as God reacting in panic. Redemption was always moving toward CHRiSt, God’s answer to the deepest problem of the human race.

What exactly is the Gospel? || The Truth Simply Put with PAV [As Broadcast on Radio]

In Episode 3 of The Truth Simply Put with PAV, he begins to answer that question with clarity and force. The Gospel is not religious advice. It is not moral instruction. It is not a list of duties by which man attempts to reach God. The Gospel is good news: the announcement of what God has already done in Jesus CHRiSt.

Drawing from Scripture, this episode shows that the Gospel is the royal announcement of a victory already won. CHRiSt died for our sins, was buried, and rose again according to the Scriptures. That means the Gospel is not about what man must achieve for God, but about what God has decisively achieved for man in CHRiSt.

In this second episode of The Truth Simply Put with PAV, Alexander Victor moves from the fact of God’s existence to the clearest revelation of His nature: Jesus CHRiSt.

God is not known by speculation, philosophy, religious imagination, mystical claims, or human opinion. He is known by revelation. And that revelation is not vague, shadowy, or abstract. God has spoken in His Son. Jesus does not merely talk about God; He is the One who perfectly reveals Him. If you want to know what God is like, look at Jesus.
