Today on Freedom Friday with Perry and Shawna, life has a way of blind sliding us.  We wonder: “God what are you up to?!”  Perry was blind-sided this last year.  He went through three months of depression, lost his mom, and then got Covid.   It’s a conversation about what God is up to in the pain.  Then Shawna admits that she had a core belief that life would be perfect when she got married, when she had kids, when she hit her goal weight, when she landed her dream job.  It’s a conversation about how the lesser things in life will never fill the place that only God can.

Next, if you have received Jesus, you have received him for who he is:  The Lord!  He’s not just a great moral teacher, or just a great prophet, or just one of many ways to God.  It’s a conversation about standing firm in the truth of who Jesus is; a challenge to not be moved from the true gospel.  Finally, Perry and Shawna dive into these powerful words of Jesus: “If the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed” (John 8:36).
