As seen on both seasons Comedy Central’s Roast Battle, A stand up comedian that Jeff Ross calls “One of the Best Roasters in LA.” check out my interview with Mr. Jay Light! Jay’s new album “Good Guy with a Gun” is available everywhere August 14th!
We briefly discuss Jay’s recent interview with HBO max for a new writing job. We talk about HBO shows Succession, Big little Lies and Little fires everywhere.
We go all the way back to Jay’s origins in Dallas TX and how he wanted to get out away from home for College. Jay went to Elon University and we touch on how many colleges are in NC.
Jay majored in film and is an avid writer and wanted to work in media. Jay has a background as a theatre kid.
We talk about coming up in comedy, his start in NC and moving to LA after college. In addition, we talk about Being a PA and then working the door at Flappers and then the Comedy Store. Now a regular at the comedy store we talk about small and intimate rooms being best for comedy as well as his unique experience opening up for Dave Chappelle.
