This week Tyson interviews Tom Fitzsimons. Tom found himself without a father in Northern Ireland at the age of 13. Running to Yorkshire, England he found another group of hard working and hard drinking Irishmen. This led to his alcoholism, ruined his first marriage, impacted his parenting and more. Until one day his partner put her foot down and said she too was going to walk out on him if he didn't stop drinking. Something had to be done but what? Out of frustration he ran a half-a-mile in 30 minutes and found something he hadn't found before, happiness. It all eventually led to running from San Francisco to New York.
Now Tom is a motivational speaker and works with those caught in addiction. In our discussion Tom points out some key things about making transitions.
