This week, I am joined by singer / songwriter Jono Manson, who’s new duo album with John Popper of Blues Traveler entitled “Bootlegger Days!!” was just released. In this interview, we discuss how their musical relationship has intertwined over the last 30+ years to lead to this album.

We also discuss: the New York City roots rock music scene of the early 1990’s, where Blues Traveler cut their teeth opening for Jono’s band Joey Miserable & The Worms; the band High Plains Drifter (which featured Chan Kinchla and Bobby Sheehan from Blues Traveler) and how that morphed into the Jono Manson Band; the impact from having their music featured in major motion pictures such as Kingpin & The Postman; their 2011 project John Popper & The Duskray Troubadours; Jono’s 2023 solo album “Stars Enough To Guide Me;” and a deep dive into the stories behind the music of “Bootlegger Days!”
