Maybe you know the strange space that settles in right after Christmas. The lights are still glowing, yet somehow your heart feels a little dimmer. In this episode of The Unapologetic You, I talk through the emotional slump many of us tiptoe into once the holiday rush fades. I share a personal story, a gentle coaching tool you can use right away, and a scripture in Matthew that invites you to come as you are, tired edges and all.
If you have ever hoped the holiday would heal something, only to find the ache followed you home, this conversation might feel like a deep breath. It is an invitation to rest on purpose, to set down one thing you have been carrying too long, and to remember you do not have to enter the new year perfectly put together.

In this episode of The Unapologetic You, I share a tender moment from my week. One of my boys made a choice that brushed a soft spot in me, and I found myself rushing into all the what ifs. Maybe you have been there too, trying to solve things that have not even happened yet.
In the quiet of an early morning, I whispered a prayer without the right words. A gentle reminder settled in, that God loves my children even more than I do, and He sees what I cannot. It did not erase the worry, yet it steadied me enough to breathe again.
I walk through a simple coaching tool I learned during my certification, the thought download. It helps me untangle the clutter in my mind and find the one sentence creating the most strain. That day it was, I need to control the outcome. I traded it for a softer truth, I can trust God to guide him, and something inside me shifted.
I have also been carrying Ecclesiastes 7, verse 14. Be joyful in the day of prosperity, consider in the day of adversity. A rhythm that invites me to slow down and notice the shape of my days with more reverence.
If you need a small shift or a gentler thought today, this episode is for you. Thank you for listening, and thank you for being you.
Sometimes life feels like it takes pieces of us we never get back...the dreams that faded, the confidence that slipped away, the version of ourselves we can barely remember. In this episode, we talk about the tender truth that God doesn’t just move us forward...He goes back for what’s been lost.
Through a heartfelt story and reflections grounded in faith, I invite you to notice the “used to” phrases in your life, those quiet nudges pointing you back to who you were before the world told you she wasn’t enough. This week, discover how growth might mean remembering, reclaiming, and softening your heart again.
Tune in and be reminded: you haven’t missed your chance, and God still knows exactly where to find you.

In this episode, we dive into grounding techniques using the 5-4-3-2-1 method, a simple yet powerful way to calm your mind, reconnect with your body, and find peace in the midst of anxiety. I share a personal story about my middle son, the challenges he faced with anxiety, and how this method became a lifeline for both of us. We’ll also explore the spiritual side of stillness, grounded in scripture, and how these practices can help you show up as the person you truly want to be.

Ever wonder why certain negative thoughts feel so familiar, like they’re coming from deep inside you?
In this episode of The Unapologetic You, I explore the concept of introjection: the unconscious adoption of others’ messages, and how it shows up in the way we think, feel, and relate to our bodies.
I share a personal story, a practical coaching tool you can use all week, and anchor it in scripture, helping you separate the voices that aren’t yours from the one that truly matters. Tune in and start reclaiming your truth.

Ever notice how one small moment can spiral into a story about your worth, your abilities, or your future? In this episode, I share a story about a client’s challenging Sunday morning teaching a children’s Primary class and how her mind turned a few restless kids into a heavy narrative about not being enough.
Together, we explore a simple but powerful coaching tool: asking yourself, “So what? What am I making this mean?” You’ll hear how noticing the story your brain is spinning, and choosing a kinder, truer interpretation, can shift your feelings, your energy, and the way you show up in life.
Grounded in Proverbs 23:7, we talk about the incredible power of thought and the freedom you have to decide the meaning of your moments. Whether it’s a parenting challenge, a work setback, or a social hiccup, this episode offers a gentle nudge to rewrite the story you tell yourself and embrace love, growth, and peace.
Thank you for being you.
Do you ever wish you could wave a magic wand and change your past?
In this episode, I share a personal story about a small parenting moment with my middle son that stuck with me, and how I learned to shift my perspective on it. We’ll explore how the stories we tell ourselves about the past shape our present, and how even tiny shifts in focus can bring growth, love, and freedom.
I also share a practical coaching tip to help you pause, notice the good you might have overlooked, and rewrite your story in a way that uplifts you. Anchored in scripture (Isaiah 43:18–19), this episode is a reminder that the “new thing” God promises isn’t just about the future, it’s also about how we see our past.
Take a breath, lean in, and let’s explore how your story can be exactly what you need it to be.
Thank you for being you.
What happens when you’ve done everything right-family home evenings, scripture study, early morning seminary, church every Sunday... and still, your kids walk away from the faith?
In this deeply personal episode, I share the story of a mom I recently coached who’s grappling with that very question... and the haunting thought: “What if I’m wrong? What happens to my eternities?”
We talk about the quiet heartbreak that so many mothers carry, the moments when church becomes the wedge instead of the glue, and the wrestle between obedience and control. I open up about my own experience, the years I equated church attendance with righteousness and how, slowly, God began to untangle that belief in the most tender way.
If you’ve ever cried outside a locked bedroom door…
If you’ve ever sat in a chapel with an aching heart and an empty seat beside you…
If you've ever asked "Did I fail?"—this episode is for you.
Together, we’ll return to the scripture that’s been an anchor in the middle of my own mess, and I’ll share a coaching tool to help you shift the stories your brain might be telling you about your family’s future.
God is still in it.
He’s not finished.
And He loves your children more than you do.
This isn’t the end of your story. Or theirs.
