The Uncensored Catholic

In this episode, I talk about the authority of Sacred Tradition that comes to us through the teaching authority of the Holy Apostles as ordered by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Not only is "the Bible Alone" of Sola Scriptura insufficient, it is un-Biblical.... and the Bible didn't exist in the early Church until it was written, compiled and published by the Catholic Church operating under the authority of Christ through the guarantee of the Holy Spirit. Saint Irenaeus made the primacy of Sacred Tradition very clear in refuting the Gnostics who were heretics who perverted the meaning of the gospels to suit their own false teaching.

In this episode, I talk about the Blessed Virgin Mary. She is the Mother of God and our mother as brothers and sisters in Christ. She is the Queen of Heaven and the greatest of all saints. Through her, Jesus came into the world. She loves each one of us and prays for each one of us. She crushes Satan's head. Every Christian has access to her help and affection as part of the family of God. The saints are more alive in Heaven than we are on earth. They care about us. They pray for us and they love us. As Saint Paul said, "we are surruounded by so great a cloud of witnesses" ready and willing to help us, and Mary is the greatest of all the saints. This podcast is mainly based on the article, "In Defense of the Virgin, The Queen of Heaven" which may be read here https://open.substack.com/pub/popehead/p/in-defence-of-the-virgin?r=12ue1r&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web "The Pope Head" newsletter is extremely good and I urge you to subscribe: https://substack.com/@popehead

In this episode, I discuss do a tribute to Paul Harvey's classic monologue, "If I Were the Devil". Recorded in 1965, this is something every gerneration should hear. If you ever wonder, "how did things get so bad in America?" Paul Harvey knew why, and he knew how it would be done. He predicted the 24/7 news cycle that would divide us, the destruction of the family, the degredation of morals and the church, the decline of patriotism and everything the Progressive agenda would sow.

In this episode, I discuss some shocking revelations. According to a recently declassified document, it has been official US Government policy to reduce the US and global population through abortion, birth control, anti-traditional family initiatives and even to reduce our fertility since 1975. Not only have our "pro-life" and "pro-family" Republican leaders been lying to us but our tax dollars have been used against our will to harm millions of people world-wide through coordinated, multi-national government and NGO organizations. Even I believed much of this was merely conspiracy theory, but now we know it is fact. Frankly, this explains a lot.

In this episode, we get into food. Fr. Spirago teaches us not to be "dainty" in regard to food - eat what you are given without complaint, eat only enough to satisfy your needs. That is sound teaching... but there was no processed or junk food in Fr. Siprago's time. How can we embody Catholic teaching and still eat healthy, quality food in the way God intended, with gratitude for our daily bread? Well, this is my take on the subject.

In this episode, we get into music. So much of the music played at Mass is terribly innapropriate and really just not very good. Our Catholic history is full of the greatest composers of the highest art of music who ever existed. We should give to God our best, and if we can't have Latin, can we at least have some music that isn’t basically modern pop music that just substituted "Jesus: for "baby:, or the “hootnany" music as my priest used to call it?

In this episode, we get into basic apologetics. Sometimes, we have the opportunity to explain our faith in God to unbelievers... and often times they are more open and genuinely interested int eh Catholic faith than are Protestants. The existence of God may be proven through simple logic. Pascal is a good place to start. As a physicist and mathematician, he was well away that something cannot come from nothing. His legacy has been one of tremendous influence among scientists and philosophers, but his most basic arguments are understandable to all.

Many claim there are secret codes in the Bible and numbers with hidden meanings and powers. This is one of the oldest heresies in Christianity, known as Gnosticism. Such conspiracy type theories make people feel smart and special, but they are actually nonsense that leads to grave error and sin.

In this episode I discuss why the "home church" movement is wrong, dangerous and even blasphemous.
