  • Liz Rivas: Solo Travel Won't Fix You But It Will Show You Who You Actually Are

Liz Rivas spent fifteen years in corporate checking every box. The five-year plan, the nice condo, the nice car. Then her life took an unexpected turn, and she did something most people only talk about: she booked a plane ticket and went alone.

What she found out there wasn't an escape. It was a mirror. Solo travel didn't fix anything for her. It showed her who she actually was when there was nobody to bounce ideas off, no one to blame, and a flight that got cancelled at the worst possible time. Every micro-decision on the road became a rep in building self-trust, and that self-trust is what she credits for everything that came next.

That "next" was RoamCircle: a women-first travel and community app built for solo travelers, digital nomads, and expats who want real friendship, not just a place to check in. Liz is a first-generation Dominican-American entrepreneur and global marketing strategist who went from an airport lounge in Lisbon to a live product in ninety days, all while working a full-time corporate job. When she was eventually laid off, she broke her lease, sold what she couldn't fit in her car, and went all in.

This conversation is about what travel actually teaches you, why loneliness on the road became the seed for a global community, what it looks like to build a company while living out of a suitcase, and why the universe never rewards you for gripping something that was never meant to be yours.

If you've been quietly wondering whether it's too late to start over, or whether you can trust yourself to make a big decision, this one is for you.

IN THIS EPISODE WE TALK ABOUT

    • Growing up first-generation Dominican-American and what her mother's generation taught her about choice

    • Why solo travel is a trauma response and a healing tool at the same time

    • Building self-trust through small, unglamorous decisions when you're completely on your own

    • The exact airport lounge moment in Lisbon where RoamCircle was born

    • Going from idea to live product in ninety days

    • Living a double life: building a startup on nights and weekends while working full-time

    • Getting laid off, going through interview after interview with no real desire to be hired, and finally letting go of the safe option

    • Locking herself away in Colombia to get focused, and what she learned about ADHD as a founder

    • Her Out Of Office retreats in Cyprus, the Dominican Republic, and Thailand, plus The Women Of series

    • Her message to the woman standing in the middle of something she did not choose

  • Ilana Brown: How to Stop Performing Healing and Actually Become the Medicine

In 2018, one year postpartum and launching the biggest campaign of her career, Ilana Brown got an undeniable call to travel to three cities — New Orleans, Havana, and Salvador, Brazil. What she found there set her on a path she couldn't ignore.

She came home and told her boss she was meant to help bring Filipino ancestral healing arts into the world. Six months later she was laid off. It was the beginning of a four-year hybrid life corporate brand strategist by week, ceremonial healer and farmer by weekend until her marriage ended, Engkanto Garden Farm dissolved with it, and she was finally forced to choose.

Ilana is a spiritual mentor, modern priestess, and ceremonial healer rooted in Filipino ancestral wisdom. She bridges shamanic healing, neuroscience, and embodiment practices to help high-achieving women remember who they are beneath every role they perform. Before any of this she was a brand strategist in marketing and advertising, quietly holding a spiritual practice she kept hidden while building campaigns in LA.

This conversation goes deep into what it costs the body to live two identities at once, why her PCOS diagnosis was her body speaking before her mind would listen, and what she describes as the real difference between healing as performance and healing as a lifestyle of surrender.

If you have ever felt like you were holding two completely different lives together and waiting for permission to choose — this episode was made for you.

IN THIS EPISODE WE TALK ABOUT

    • Holding a corporate brand strategy career and a closeted spiritual practice at the same time — and what that double life actually cost her body

    • The 2018 call to three cities that changed the direction of her life

    • Ancestral grid work, inherited lineage, and being called to places her bloodline had lived generations before

    • Getting laid off right after the biggest campaign win of her career — and why it felt like protection

    • Building Engkanto Garden Farm with her ex-husband and living a four-year hybrid life between corporate and ceremony

    • What her divorce and the dissolution of the farm forced her to finally choose

    • Why she believes leaving isn't the hard part — becoming is

    • The difference between healing as performance and healing as true surrender

    • Why every modality she studies functions as an initiation, not a skill to collect

    • What she wants to say to every woman doing it all and still feeling like something essential is missing

    • Her upcoming two-day workshop diving into subconscious level transformation

  • Jenna Hera: How I Built a Podcast From My Phone and What I Have Learned About Courage Along the Way

    ABOUT THIS EPISODE

    This one is just me.

No guest. No script. Thirty minutes of honest reflection on what it has actually looked like to build Unclocked & Unbothered from scratch — with nothing more than my phone, a 2016 MacBook, and a decision to start before I was ready.

I break down exactly how I make this podcast — the tools, the process, the unglamorous reality of producing everything myself — because I want you to know that if you have been waiting for the perfect setup to start something, you do not need it. I started with what I had. And so can you.

I also get into some questions my audience has been asking. The first one — where does my spirituality come from and how did I find it? This is something I have never fully talked about on the show and I go there in this episode.

The second one — am I ever going back to a 9 to 5? I give my honest answer on where I am right now, what I am building, and how I am navigating this season of my life.

And then I just reflect. On the courage it took to start. On what this show has become. On what I want it to grow into. On the people who have sat in the guest seat and what their stories have done to me as a host and as a human being.

This episode is for the person who has the idea and keeps waiting. For the person who thinks they need more before they can begin. And for anyone who has been on this journey with me from the beginning — this is a love letter to all of us.

    IN THIS EPISODE

    • How I built this podcast with just my phone and a 2016 MacBook — the exact tools and process

    • Why starting before you are ready is the only way to actually start

    • A full reflection on where Unclocked & Unbothered is and where it is going

    • My personal story with spirituality — where it came from and how it shaped everything

    • Whether I am ever going back to a 9 to 5 — my honest answer

    • What building this podcast has taught me about courage, consistency, and self-trust

    • A message to everyone who has been here from the beginning

  • Ravelle Laurette: Why High Achieving Women Burn Out and How to Heal Your Nervous System From the Inside Out

Ravelle Laurette is a Clairvoyant Healer, Somatic Guide, Nervous System Mentor, and the creator of Holosoma — a whole-body healing methodology that bridges subconscious healing, energy work, trauma physiology, somatic integration, and nervous system capacity work.

But before any of that, she was a deeply shy, neurodivergent girl who ate lunch alone in the bathroom to avoid being seen. Who lost her father young. Who carried CPTSD and a shame wound so deep that she spent two decades performing her way through it — first through acting, then through face-to-face sales, then through a multi-six-figure tech career.

From the outside she had everything. From the inside she was completely dysregulated.

When traditional therapy, breathwork, and plant medicine stopped moving things, she found clairvoyant work — and then deep somatic healing. And she realized the reason nothing was working was not because she wasn’t doing enough. It was because her body didn’t feel safe enough to actually heal.

She quit her tech career without a plan and built Holosoma from everything she had learned. And now she helps high-achieving, over-functioning women understand what their nervous system is actually doing — and how to finally build from joy and ease instead of pressure and fear.

This is one of the most educational and honest conversations I have had on this show. If you are a high-functioning woman who looks fine on the outside and feels exhausted on the inside — this episode is for you.

IN THIS EPISODE WE TALK ABOUT

    • Growing up neurodivergent with ADHD and CPTSD and what that did to her nervous system from childhood

    • Being bullied in 7th grade and how the body holds onto that — even decades later

    • How acting became her first nervous system healing portal — and the neuroscience behind why it worked

    • The invisible scar of imposter syndrome inside a high-performing career

    • Why high achievement can be a trauma response — and why the wiring of “I’m not safe unless I perform” runs so deep in women

    • What clairvoyance actually is and how it helped her get into her body when nothing else could

    • Why anxiety is a sign there is energy in your space that isn’t yours

    • The reason your body can’t heal under force — and what titration and safety actually mean in somatic work

    • Why the body knows when you are lying to it — and what to do instead

    • How Holosoma works and who it is for

    • What it looks like to be truly successful without the complexity of overperformance

  • Jimena Serfaty: What Happens When You Stop Waiting for Someone to Come With You and Just Go

Jimena Serfaty — known as Jimmy — left Argentina at 22 with a working holiday visa, no bank account, and one decision: stop waiting for someone else to say yes.

Since then she has lived across multiple countries, traveled to almost 100 countries, learned five languages, and built a fully remote business from London — helping coaches and service providers run the backend of their businesses through her consultancy Jimmy & Co.

And this year she built HolaDear — a private digital postcard app for travelers and expats who want to send a photo, message, and location pin to someone they miss — with zero coding experience, using no-code and AI tools. In seven weeks from her first prompt, HolaDear was accepted into Web Summit’s Alpha program in Lisbon.

Her philosophy: having too many tabs open is not a problem. It is the whole point.

This episode is for the woman who has been waiting for the right moment, the right partner, or the right plan — and needs to hear that none of those are coming before she is.

IN THIS EPISODE WE TALK ABOUT

    • How to leave a stable job and build a location-independent business from scratch

    • What working remotely actually looked like before it was mainstream — and how she figured it out alone

    • Building a business with transferable skills you already have but are undervaluing

    • Imposter syndrome and money mindset as a freelancer and solopreneur

    • How to build a tech product with no coding experience using no-code tools and AI

    • Getting accepted into Web Summit with a brand new app in under two months

    • Why having multiple interests and skills is an advantage not a distraction

    • How to make big life decisions before you feel ready

    • Solo travel, identity, belonging, and what it means to build a life between cultures

    • The difference between fitting in and belonging — and why letting go of one creates the other

    • Her message to the woman who is still waiting for someone to come with her

  • Angie Tran: What Five Years of Building the Wrong Thing Teaches You About Finding the Right One

    EPISODE 16 — SHOW NOTES

Angie Tran spent years building for other people.

Marketing agencies in Paris and Hong Kong. A luxury hotel in Toronto where she was promoted, sent around the world, and given everything she thought she wanted — and still felt like something was missing.

She and her husband quit both of their corporate jobs, started a healthy food franchise, then discovered e-commerce, then dropshipping, then built three or four brands from scratch that didn’t stick — before one day coming across a concept in Japan that would change everything.

Kind Laundry was born from years of iteration, failure, and an unwillingness to stop showing up. What started as an eco-friendly idea reformulated five times over five years is now one of the most recognized sustainable laundry brands in North America. Named Best Eco-Friendly Laundry Detergent by Better Homes & Gardens. Having eliminated over 500,000 single-use plastic jugs from landfills and oceans.

And all of it built slowly, intentionally, without a single investor — owned fully by Angie and her husband Bernard.

But this episode is not just a business story.

Angie is also a spirit baby client of mine. I supported her through her fertility journey and watched her call in her daughter. Which means I have watched her build from the inside — the resilience, the self-development work, the moments she almost gave up, and the version of herself that came out on the other side of all of it.

This conversation is about what it actually looks like to keep going when nothing is working yet — and what happens when you finally stop building for someone else and start building for yourself.

IN THIS EPISODE WE TALK ABOUT

    • Working in marketing agencies across Paris, Hong Kong, and Toronto — and why success on paper still felt empty
    • Quitting two comfortable corporate jobs at the same time and what the first chapter of entrepreneurship actually looked like
    • How a healthy food franchise, dropshipping, and three failed brands eventually led to Kind Laundry
    • The e-commerce moment when their phones blew up with sales — and what that feeling of proof actually gave them
    • Reformulating the product five times in five years and why iteration is the real work
    • Launching Kind Laundry before and through the pandemic — with no investors, no outside funding, full ownership
    • The self-development practices that kept them going through the seasons with no results
    • Why slow growth is actually the goal — and why being fully intentional beats scaling fast
    • What Angie wants to say to the woman who is still dabbling, still searching, still wondering if it is ever going to click

  • Amanda Aguilar: What Having the Emmy and the Title Teaches You About What Success Actually Means

She left news for a six-figure communications role — giving herself runway to build her coaching business on the side. When that environment started costing her body the same way news had, she took medical leave. And in the three and a half months of silence that followed, she finally heard herself clearly enough to know she wasn’t going back.

Amanda is now a TEDx speaker, self-love and empowerment coach, and the host of the relaunched Embrace Her Evolution podcast. She works with women in what she calls the messy middle — that season where things look fine on paper but internally something is shifting. She uses CBT, inner child healing, and core values work to help women stop earning their worth from external validation and start trusting themselves from the inside out.

This episode is one of the most honest conversations I have had on this show. We talk about what it costs to build an identity around a career that the public can see — and who you get to become when you finally stop performing it.

Two things can be true: you can be grateful for the chapter you built — and still know you are made for more.

IN THIS EPISODE WE TALK ABOUT

    • What a decade in TV news actually felt like from the inside — the energy, the identity, the dimming

    • Getting a viewer email at 23 that shaped how she thought she was supposed to show up — and taking years to undo it

    • The situationship that cracked everything open and sent her into real healing work for the first time

    • When her therapist told her she didn’t actually love herself — and what she did with that

    • The six-figure communications job she took strategically — and why she left sooner than planned

    • Medical leave — three and a half months of silence — and what she heard in it

    • The visualization where she saw calm and freedom — and cried because she wasn’t living it yet

    • Her biggest fear: people thinking she was downgrading her life

    • What redefining success actually looks like when you have an Emmy on your shelf

    • Why CBT alone isn’t enough — and what inner child healing reaches that thought work can’t

    • Why women hold back from wanting more — and why you don’t need anyone’s permission to want it

    • Her message to the woman who has the impressive life and is quietly wondering if this is actually it

  • Jessica Lamb: How a Layoff Accidentally Became the Best Business Decision She Never Made

Then clients started coming in. Then one big client changed everything. And suddenly — without planning it — she was a business owner.

Jessica is the founder of Collabs Creative, a boutique digital marketing company focused on telling the real stories of small business owners. She is also the host of The Mama Making Podcast — now four seasons deep — a show centered on moms making impact in their communities, in their work, and in the everyday spaces that shape the world.

She has been navigating motherhood, an ADHD diagnosis at 31, postpartum mental health, imposter syndrome, and building a business that actually supports her life — all at the same time.

And she describes her entire business philosophy in three words: alignment, authenticity, intuition.

Not hustle. Not grind. Not strategy playbooks.

Vibes — and the ADHD compass she has learned to follow instead of fight.

IN THIS EPISODE WE TALK ABOUT

    • A decade in nonprofit fundraising and the layoff that changed everything

    • Filing for an LLC as a temporary move — and what happened next

    • What imposter syndrome actually feels like when your expertise comes from experience rather than credentials

    • Getting diagnosed with ADHD at 31 and what it explained about every job she had ever struggled in

    • Using ADHD as a compass rather than a limitation — and what that looks like in a real work week

    • What building on vibes actually means: alignment, authenticity, and intuition as a business framework

    • The moment she realized staying home full time was not for her — two weeks in

    • How motherhood and entrepreneurship have the same job description: completely unpredictable, never clocking out, always worth it

    • Abandoning hustle culture after burnout and building sustainably instead

    • How The Mama Making Podcast has evolved with her through every season of life

    • What she wants to say to the woman who has every reason to go back to a regular job — and keeps building anyway

  • Colleen Lindberg:How to Trust an Intuitive Hit So Completely That You Sell Everything and Start Over

Colleen is a Spiritual Advisor and Wealth Catalyst with over 16 years in business and energetic mastery. She is a multi-six figure entrepreneur who works with leaders ready to step into the version of themselves who can actually hold the power, visibility, and income they desire. She is the creator of Soul Mission Activation and the host of her own podcast It’s All Bullshit — which is as unapologetic as it sounds.

But before any of that, she was a girl working three jobs, going to school full time, teaching aerobics, and running on pure hustle energy — until a mentor introduced her to personal development and something in her said: there is more than this.

What followed was 17 years of building a business through every season — the chips-for-three-days seasons, the gas tank on empty seasons, the COVID seasons, the complete identity shedding seasons — until she arrived in the jungle in Costa Rica and realised she had never truly been home in herself before.

In this episode we go into what it actually means to trust an intuitive hit when the stakes are that real. And we talk about something I think every person building a different kind of life needs to hear: the pathway will keep coming back. You cannot avoid what your soul contracted before it arrived here. And the sooner you say yes — the easier everything gets.

IN THIS EPISODE WE TALK ABOUT

    • Working three jobs and running on hustle energy before discovering personal development at 23

    • Building a business for 17 years — through the scraping seasons, COVID, and multiple identity shifts

    • Why she ran a pragmatic business for years while privately channeling — and what happened when she finally brought both together

    • The garbage story that taught her to never ignore an intuitive hit again

    • Waking up one morning and hearing Costa Rica — and exactly how she followed that hit step by step

    • What the unshedding actually felt like — the identity shift that happened in the jungle

    • Life in the jungle versus the city — scorpions, geckos, high heels, and what Costa Rica actually teaches you about surrender

    • The difference between asking for signs and paying attention to the ones already arriving

    • Detachment from the outcome — and why the sign you asked for shows up the moment you stop searching for it

    • What it means when the pathway keeps coming back — and why ignoring your soul contract only makes things harder

    • What she wants every person who is scared to say yes to know

  • Marie Halaskova: What Leaving a Decade Long Academic Career Teaches You About Becoming Yourself

    ABOUT THIS EPISODE

Marie Halaskova spent over a decade at the Faculty of Pharmacy. She earned three degrees in medical biochemistry, worked in cancer research, and became a published scientist with 72 academic citations across four publications.

And twenty days after finishing her PhD — she started her online business.

Not because academia failed her. Because the version of herself that emerged from years of deep inner work simply couldn’t fit back into the life she had built.

What followed was one of the most honest rebuilds I’ve heard on this show — moving countries with no income, no home, and no job, navigating her own chronic health issues through holistic and nervous system-based approaches, and joining a community of over 6,000 people globally who were looking for the same thing she had been searching for: a different way of living.

Marie is now a holistic health educator, business mentor, and published author. She helps people create aligned online businesses without trading one form of burnout for another. And she brings something most mentors don’t — the neuroscience to back up why the inner work actually works.

She said something in this episode that I haven’t stopped thinking about:

The hardest part isn’t leaving. It’s going back three years later and realising that everyone stayed the same — and you didn’t.

IN THIS EPISODE WE TALK ABOUT

    • Spending over a decade in academia and realising the environment wasn’t aligned with who she was becoming
    • What chronic health issues — including skin conditions and liver issues — taught her about treating root causes instead of symptoms
    • The loneliness of doing inner work while the people around you stay exactly the same
    • Moving countries with no money, no job, and no home — and what that first year actually looked like
    • The kitten study that changed how she understands limiting beliefs and the brain’s filtering system
    • How breathwork, yoga, nervous system regulation, and neuroscience coaching shifted everything
    • Building a business that creates time freedom — not just income freedom
    • What it means to go back to your old environment after everything has changed
    • Why the hardest part of changing your life isn’t the leap — it’s what you come home to
