An AI abortion. And no, not a medically sanctioned procedure completed by professionals in a pristine hospital. This was a back alley abortion complete with a rusty coat hanger, no anaesthetic and whatever the tattooed shirtless creature operating is drinking spilled over the patient as disinfectant.
For £20 we had a delayed download, as the system crashed. They use dodgy pay sites that no one has heard off to take your money. And what do you get for your hard earned cash? A documentary with interviews with Linnea Quigley and Beverly Randolph, the music, the trailer and then three versions of the lowest grade AI shit I have ever seen.
Atrocious.
0/10 not worth a score. Come back Oasis of the Dead and Hsien of the Dead, all is forgiven.

After the bat shit crazy Stacy and SARS Wars Bangkok Zombie Crisis we lower the mood for what I coined as a Hallmark channel zombie movie starring Chloe Grace Moretz and Ben Cross in Wicked Little Things. What did Michael think? You will have to tune in to find out.

Urgh!
If you combine a writer and director who has little to no knowledge of the genre, the worst kind of dialog (mostly inane pap and cliché) that culminates in them using computer game parlance, and pathetic cardboard characters the you have this Humans vs Zombies. Yup, the title is as bad as the rest of it.
We have a LOT of aerial shots of some sort of Texan farmland, despite the original outbreak happening at sea.
We open with a contrived load of nonsense, two people in hazmat suits take their hoods off, then get contaminated, then kill themselves, level of contrivance. Then we have the most stereotypical college group, a jock that likes the tomboy gamer nerd, who he will wear down by the end, and the bookish nerd liking the prom queen, a TEMU Jack Black, and a security guard conspiracy nut who doesn't wipe blood of his face despite saying he knows what caused it.
It took 3 days and 5 sitting to struggle through this shit, so you don't have to.
I almost feel bad sending it to Steph.

A Canadian romzomcom that brings together scream queen Crystal Lowe, and legends in the genre Stephen McHattie (Pontypool/Exit Humanity) and a very pumped Shawn Roberts (Resident Evil/Land of the Dead/Diary of the Dead) as the backup cast for Kris Turner's Steve, a mild mannered HR manager who is marrying a bridezilla and heads to a remote family cabin in the woods with his bride-to-be (Lowe), best friend and brother-in-law (Roberts) and his sister played Kristen Hager. Sap Steve is then bitten by a mosquito that has been drinking zombie blood and he turns... you guessed it... a little bit zombie, retaining his humanity but gaining a desire for brainssss.
As McHattie's zombie hunter and tactical bacon obsessed Max, and annoying blonde sidekick Penny hunt for Steve, he has to come to terms with the fact that he now throws up human food, killed their pet rabbit, and now must eat brains, all whilst planning his wedding.
A fun and funny enough romzomcom from our friends in the North, a surprising laugh out loud moment or two, mostly from the bro humour of Roberts, and definitely worth a watch.

Batshit crazy movie talk with Michael as we cover Stacy from Japan and the Thai SARS Wars.

Sneaking this one in to make a mockery of the whole numbering thing, for tonight we record episode 400, we have already recording half of the Japanese/Thai insanity that pairs Stacy and SARS Wars: Bangkok Zombie Crisis but I have just completed the 8 episode Amazon MGM Mexican Young Adult zombie show I would Rather Die.
Young Adult zombie fiction is a thing, we have had the Walking Dead spinoff the World Beyond that looks at kids brought up in the Commonwealth, including the post credit scene that explains the cause of the whole franchise, the teen movie This Not A Test, very much like a teen episode of Black Summer and now we have this, Prefiero la Muerte, telling the story of Archie and the kids and families of the Mexican town of Mendoza.
Archie is the awkward grade A student with the antisocial tomboy best friend, a past with and a crush on the prom queen and rivalry with the rich school bully, and is living with his evil aunt as he was abandoned by his parents as a kid, prompting him as an 8 year old to stab his teacher with a pair of scissors and get the nickname killer.
Archie is then bitten by a lecherous bodega owner and becomes a demi-zombie, as he can kinda control it, and there is a snack that supresses it. We have a murder investigation, corrupt cops, the cartels pushing multivitamins, and the chance that Archie will become full zombie in what was a quite entertaining show.
I have seen 3 Mexican zombie movies, all poor this was by far the best Mexican zombie entertainment, even though the amount of people on the multivits should have caused a citywide outbreak, and we never learned about his parents or the evil corp causing it, or the cartel involvement. 5.5/10 for me

The Faculty, Lucky Number Slevin, Below, Trap, Penny Dreadful, I do love Josh Hartnett, and as we creep over the frozen wilderness in the pitch dark of winter Michael and I, for our 400th episode will cover 30 Days of Night. And this is a vampire movie not the faint of heart. This isn't The Originals, or Twilight, this isn't True Blood or the Vampire Diaries, this is brutal, vicious and bloody as Danny Huston and his brood of black eyed, shark toothed, tongues speaking vamps descend on an unsuspecting Alaskan town about to head into the titular 30 Days of Night. Gruesome, but good.

Sneaking in before Michael and I discuss the craziness that is the Japanese Stacy and the Thai SARS Wars - Bangkok Zombie Crisis, and our 400th episode on which we cover vampires, and more so the Josh Hartnett bloody and brutal 30 Days of Night, I have this, Evil in the Time of Heroes (2009), the sequel to Evil (2005).
Not as well received as its predecessor, with a confusing ancient Greek plot, some very weird special effects, meaningless plotlines, and Billy Zane in a hooded cloak talking Greek.
We do pick up where we left off from the first movie, with soldier Kleamtis, teen Jenny, cute neighbour Marina and father figure Meletis being chased to the football stadium after leaving the creepy taxi driver Agrylis to hang dead from the pipe in the wall. The stadium is surrounded by zombies who get in in their thousands. Is it the end of our heroes?
Well no, as we get a total cop out we get a 10 minutes later card and all four just walking out of the stadium covered in blood.
And from there it goes downhill. We have rival factions with no real agenda other than pointless violence, flashbacks to ancient Greeks fighting zombies, Billy Zane walking around killing whole hordes and spouting nonsense, and bringing back the dead, including those we had wished stayed dead.
Despite a budget 10 times the original, better acting, better cinematography, and Billy Zane this is a much inferior movie to the original. The creepy Agrylis and his creepier sleazy dad, the pointless deaths, awful effects and bag of frogs storyline make it a 3/10 at best. Definitely avoid.

A Greek zombie movie that splits it's reviews between tasty kebabs and rotting tzatziki. Set in Athens it tells the story of a zombie outbreak caused by builders digging into a cavern that houses some sort of evil. The three builders who go in come out weird and the start attacking others. Bloody, messy, fast turning, fast spreading and fast running zombies just done cheaply.
A teen, her neighbour, a father figure, a soldier with no tactical awareness, a moaning yuppie, a football fan and a slimy taxi driver come together to escape the city. Do they lock doors? No. Do we therefore lose people we didn't need to? Yes.
It was cheaply done, the acting wasn't great at times, the camera work and sound wasn't great at times. But, I found it watchable, despite all that.
4/10 given it was from 2005, post Land of the Dead and 28 Days Later, and before World War Z and Walking Dead.
There is a sequel, Evil: In the Time of Heroes that came out in 2009, happens 3 days later and somehow stars Billy Zane, although Jenny, her hot neighbour Marina, Argyris and Meletis are back again. I will have to go look for that.

Advertised Plot: After losing everything to a personal mistake, a suicidal man discovers a portal to a parallel world where a family is trapped by zombies. He must communicate across dimensions to save a dying girl and fight for his own redemption.
Reality: 16 moon shots! 16!!! That nearly doubles the record of dumbass moon shots in a zombie movie we have seen. Conceptually fine, the two dimensions thing with a guy going from one to the other. But it is just done so badly. Awful acting. Awful music choices including Jaws and Psycho rip-offs. Awful shouty kids and mom, who just shout their names the whole movie. The strobe light was terrible and off-putting. And we didn't get enough of what we are tuning in for, namely zombies being killed in a multiverse kinda ting. No, we have 15 mins of the main guy crying in a barn and a 3 minute dance routine.
A bit of a shambles at the best of times, our 5th and least favourite Indian movie, not even our favourite Telugu movie.
