I bring it all the way back to Elementary School and dive pretty deep in analyzing 3 separate cycles of burnout I've experienced (high school, college, and post college) in only the past 27 years. I talk about how I feel guilty for feeling tired and burnt out at all because I haven't "done enough". About the seemingly continuous cycle of burnout -to- breakdown -to- surrender. And how it's important to think about your own life and your own journey (and maybe you've had the extra time to do so this year during quarantine) in order to recognize patterns and question yourself.

Becca and Sonny are some AWESOME people who co-founded an Instagram thrifting business called Throwback Thrift Co after coming up with the idea during quarantine!

We talk about Sonny's passion for thrifting as a 8th grader, going to the Goodwill bins to make friends during COVID, and how Becca mastered their Instagram sales process even if she was hesitant to start the business to begin with. Grace created Glimmer because as a pansexual woman seeking mental health services, she felt that the process was difficult and questioned why? Working primarily in non-profits, she never thought she would start her own company but highly recommends it! Glimmer is not only a service but a community where individuals can be matched with qualified mental health professionals as well as learn and explore sexual health, mental health, sexuality, as well as businesses particularly for womxn, QTBIPOC, and the LGBTQIA+ community.

In this solo episode, particularly for other unemployed folks, Sara is inspired to talk about her personal career journey with the takeaway that a "linear" career isn't it for her (or for most people). She talks about feeling dumb in college and never fitting in at her corporate job. This episode is meant to focus on the positive and uniqueness of being unemployed during a global pandemic where no one really knows what's next.
