In this episode, I am humbled to speak with Dr. Dalia Fahmy is Associate Professor of Political Science at Long Island University and she is also a Visiting Scholar at the Center for the Study of Genocide and Human Rights and UNESCO Chair at Rutgers University. She's an author on various areas including Islamophobia, US foreign policy and American Identity. In 2016, Dr. Fahmy was chosen by NYC mayor Bill De Blasio to moderate a conversation between him and London's mayor Sadiq Khan on building inclusive communities the morning after the Chelsea terror attack. Prior to her career in academia, Dr. Fahmy worked at the United Nations covering Nuclear Disarmament.She has been interviewed by and written editorials in various media outlets including ABC, CBS, CBC, CNBC, CNN, MSNBC, NPR, PBS, the Huffington Post, the Immanent Frame, the Washington Post, and appears often on Aljazeera and in this episode, she's my UNFLTRD guest.
