1) Start your manager meetings out with an appreciation text to an employee

2) Write hand written thank you cards for on-shift performance praise

3) Don't ask cliche questions, ask more specific and personal questions.

4) During Pre and Post shifts- mention 1 VIP employee and be specific on why they are a VIP

5) Understand and listen to your people. Read the room and let people feel heard.
