April 30, 2020 Why Does Social Distancing Remind Me of Death?
You know the 6ft social distancing rule. Do you recall that a grave is 6ft deep? I wish they had said 5 or 7ft. The distance comes from how far the jet stream of crude travels from a sneeze or cough. I believe saturation is more deadly than the distance. There has to be a greater chance of getting coronavirus from a 2hr ride on airplane than a trip to grocery store. Let’s be wise.

April 29, 2020 Which is Safer, Face Masks or Football Helmets?
When I played football I never questioned the need for a football helmet. It was the safest thing to do during a game or practice. We want to do things that are safe with this coronavirus, but we need to be careful in believing they are 100% safe. They are not. Face masks are not that effective, scientifically. The better issue is to cover your mouth with a tissue when you sneeze or cough, throw it away, and wash your hands as soon as you can. I will continue to laugh at people wearing masks who are alone in their cars.

That was a famous question coming from an elderly lady in a Wendy’s commercial back in the 80’s. Tyson Foods, the largest chicken manufacturer in America, is reporting that the food supply chain is breaking. We are headed for meat shortages (chicken, pork, and beef) as early as May. I laughed at the toilet paper shortage, but this gets my attention. This coronavirus pandemic is really making socialism look bad.

Trump calls the press / news media the enemy of the people. I think they are the enemy of the truth. They love the people, as long as they remain submissive sheep. They press wants to tell us what we should believe, how to think, and what to do. These coronavirus protesters throughout the country are sheep who are dumb, desire people to die, racists, and need to be put back in the fold with the rest of the herd.

The gamble depends on your local situation. Where I live there is a 1 in 350 chance that I will get the Coronavirus and a 1 in 10 chance I will die if infected. With those numbers I am willing to roll the dice and head back to work. Socialism is all about collective solutions. The issue of going back to work is a local issue not national or collective.

I am sick of being “all in this together”. I’m sick of the songs, the memes, the tag lines, and daily onslaught of this phrase. We are in the same storm, but not the same boat. Plus, it is illegal to be in the same boat. Madonna in a bathtub with rose petals, Nancy Pelosi with her ice cream, and the rich having to decide to do their own chores are not – this is not me. The coronavirus pandemic has taught us much.

President Trump said we are stopping the flow of money to the WHO – World Health Organization. Yet, he supports the giving of $5 trillion to the WHO through the G20. It is time to re-examine our support of these global or international institutions. Most are committed to socialism and the reduction in US power and influence. They do like our money, however. Trump has shamed NATO and he needs to work the rest.
