The Blue Dragon's War 

Here’s the book summary: How far are you willing to fight for your freedom?

For time beyond anyone’s memory, dragons have ruled the land of Calibran and the sky above
it. With unmatched magic and intelligence, these dragons have a nasty habit of doing exactly
what they want. Any creatures under their rule face a hard life filled with uncertainty and fear.

But, not everyone in Calibran was content to live in fear of the dragons.

The minotaurs of Kehlaktur are one such group of creatures. Strong, fierce, and independent,
these minotaurs lived in Kehlaktur, the city without walls. They consistently claimed that all they needed for their safety was the strength and bravery of their renowned warriors.

Few have challenged the minotaurs.

Until now.

There's the usual fantasy violence. It is not graphic. I will put it at 2 out of 5 hammers. 

The language is clean for the most part. Only the occasional cuss word. 1.5 out of 5 trashcans.

Orcas versus Aliens (Empath, Go Home)

Here’s the book summary: As a rare, long-range empath, Jack was good at two things: talking to whales and telling stories to kids, neither of which did him much good in space. Lunar Intelligence agreed to overlook a murder charge in exchange for his talent for tracking thinking creatures at great distances, perfect for an assassin. He didn’t fit in the military until an interstellar conflict loomed between Humans and the Phibs, amphibious aliens who steal resources and eat children. Jack volunteered to recruit the only Earth creatures capable of defending colony-world oceans against these boogey men, the orcas. Never mind that the multi-ton killing machines didn’t share a common language, he didn’t have a way to transport them, and Lunars hated empaths—this mission was his only chance to see his girlfriend and mothers again. Jack’s main hurdle was gaining cooperation from the biggest jerk in the solar system, his estranged father, Speaker Aleki of the Whale Nation.

This book has mentions of LGBT relationships, questionable morals and brief mentions of rape and non-consensual situations. Reader discretion is advised.

Reawakened Flames: Sparks Will Fly 

Here’s the book summary: When darkness seems to have snuffed her life out, what will it take for Aria to reignite her inner fire?

This book does talk about mental illness. It is anxiety and depression. There is mention of suicide, but nothing graphic. Reader discretion is advised if you are sensitive to these topics. I give this 2 out of 5 apples.

If you're sensitive to ghosts or supernatural, this book touches on that. Use your own discretion. Honestly, I rate it one out of five ghosts on the supernatural front.

Twin Tales 

Here's the book summary: Mermaids are silently disappearing as darkness rolls across the surface of the seas. There aren't any warnings with this book. It is targeted for ages 8-12 years old, but I enjoyed it as an adult.

North and South

Here’s the book summary: Set in the mid-nineteenth century and written from the author's first-hand experience, North and South follows the story of the heroine's movement from the tranquil but moribund way s of southern England to the vital but turbulent north. Elizabeth Gaskell's skilful narrative uses an unusual love story to show how personal and public lives were woven together in a newly industrial society. 
This is a tale of hard-won triumphs-of rational thought over prejudice and of humane care over blind deference to the market. Readers in the twenty-first century  will find themselves absorbed as this Victorian novel traces the origins of problems and possibilities which are still challenging a hundred and fifty years laters: the complex relationships, public and private, between men and women of different classes.

There are different perspectives in this story. Please remember that this book was published in the 1850's. Views of class, roles of men and women and other parts of society were different back then. I encourage you to have an open mind. This is a wonderful book and really fascinating.

Everything Worth Counting

Here’s the book summary: It's 1977 in Zimnicea Romania. An earthquake has reduced the home of ten-year old Alex to rubble, taking with it his father and his best friend. The only thing I would warn about is about a natural disaster and the aftermath of one. It is not graphic in this story. There isn't too much bad language.

The Stranded

Book summary: By the time the classified report is leaked to the public, it’s already too late. A horrifying pandemic has begun to spread, with ferocious speed, from Paris to the rest of Europe. The infected masses die quickly . . . but they don’t remain dead for long.

As military forces are overpowered by the horde of undead, civilization as we know it is pushed to the breaking point. Those who remain uninfected rush the ports, hoping to escape the bloodthirsty beasts, desperate for some safe harbor.

Fleeing Barcelona, a lone survivor makes the perilous journey to Mallorca. Once a vacationer’s paradise, the island is now the last refuge of a small but resilient community, and they welcome the newcomer with open arms. But the pristine, secluded landscape belies the dangers they face—from both the infected and one another.

This is a zombie apocalypse and a thriller. I would safely put this at a 3.5, almost 4 sledgehammers for violence and dealing with a pandemic. 

Language is relatively clean. I would give it a 1.5 out of 5.

Mentions of child abuse. It's not graphic, but if you're sensitive to that, you've been warned.
