Hermitage Castle is a semi-ruined castle in the border region of Scotland. It stands in the remote valley of the Hermitage Water, part of Liddesdale in Roxburghshire. It is under the care of Historic Scotland. The castle has a reputation, both from its history and its appearance, as one of the most sinister and atmospheric castles in Scotland.

Smithills Hall is set in  land on the edge of the West Pennine Moors, Smithills Hall is one of the oldest and best preserved manor houses in the North West of England.Over the years the original Medieval Hall has been added to, and provides a fascinating history of the people who lived there. The buildings include Tudor and Victorian wings, in addition to the Medieval Hall, and a private Chapel. The private chapel, reputedly established in AD 792, was rebuilt about 1520 by Andrew Barton and maintained by the families who lived there.  It has subsequently been added to, refurbished, suffered a major fire and restored. It is a consecrated church.

Faversham is a market town in Kent, England, 8 miles from Sittingbourne, 48 miles from London and 10 miles from Canterbury, next to the Swale, a strip of sea separating mainland Kent from the Isle of Sheppey in the Thames Estuary. It is close to the A2, which follows an ancient British trackway now known as Watling Street, which was used by the Romans and the Anglo-Saxons.

The tenth century Miskin Manor has some residents who refuse to leave. Miskin Manor is a Victorian manor house built in 1864 in a Tudor style, situated in the village of Miskin in Rhondda Cynon Taf, south Wales. The estate was owned by the Williams family including Rhys Rhys-Williams for many years who were descended from the Welsh bard David Williams. Today, the manor is used as a hotel and venue for wedding receptions. It was once filmed for the Doctor Who series 5 finale The Big Bang.
The manor is a Grade II listed building.The gardens and park attached to the house are designated Grade II on the Cadw/ICOMOS Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest in Wales.

The SS Ourang Medan was a reported ghost ship and proposed urban legend of the 1940s. The vessel was supposedly discovered adrift after briefly broadcasting an SOS. The ships that responded to the SOS were reported to have discovered all the crew dead with their eyes open and their faces frozen in shock, as if they were witnessing a horrific scene. As they subsequently prepared to tow the Ourang Medan to port, a fire reportedly broke out in the hold resulting in its eventual sinking, hiding it and its mysteries forever.
