This week on The Unofficial Maritime Wrestling Podcast, we’re recapping one of the hottest weekends in Maritime wrestling from five promotions lighting up the region! From Windsor to Woodstock, Dartmouth to Doaktown all the way to Cape Breton, we’ve got you covered.
We kick things off with Wrestling in Windsor: Plenty of Heat 2, where JP Simms double-dipped with a battle royal win and tag victory alongside Duce, and Cody Uno Ocho topped off the night by defeating The Maritime Luchador, Fantana. Meanwhile, over in Yarmouth, UCW delivered solid action including Maddison Miles picking up a big win and Robbie MacAllister taking down Dawson James.
Over in New Brunswick, NBWA brought the heat with not one but two events. Old Home Week Cup 3 and Doaktown Destruction 3. “Rugged” Rick Owens and Zane Valentine each walked away with Battle Royale victories, while Larry Horowitz continued to prove he's the guy to beat, retaining the Heavyweight Championship on both nights.
Back in Nova Scotia, Kaizen Pro Wrestling had a wild weekend with Death Wish and Battle on the Bridge. Delmi Exo stunned the crowd by outlasting the competition in an epic International Gauntlet Match, while Rip Byson, Perry Von Vicious, and Joey White all put in big performances across the two shows. Plus, chaos broke out in a no-contest between Dudes Doing Things and Pratt Industries.
And over at ECPW's Celtic Chaos in New Waterford, rivalries sparked, titles were defended, and big names returned, including the announcement of WWE Hall of Famer Tito Santana appearing this fall! Justin Newhook retains the Celtic Roots Championship, JP Simms became #1 contender, and we got a wild grudge match between Rudy Lockhart and Ethan Knight that ended with no clear winner.
We also preview upcoming shows from Superstars of Wrestling in Saint John, United Wrestling in Middleton, and NBWA's Battle on the Bend 2 in Nackawic, each one stacked with talent and surprises.
And in this week’s Listener Question, Carl LeBlanc from NB asks: What’s your dream match between two Maritime wrestlers, Old School vs New School? We weigh in on that fantasy booking and share some picks that might surprise you and a big thanks to Matt Kerr for the intro!
