You know when the sports doldrums hit and you find yourself watching too much of the Ocho? The universe provides with some of the stupidest things to talk about. WNBA in the news in two ways with players saying things, taking them back and their CBA becoming a topic of discussion. Oh yeah and then there are the two ex-NBA players declaring for their draft. We talk some Kawhi as it looks like he will not only take himself and Uncle Dennis down, but may bring the Clippers or Steve Ballmer with him. And then we round out with a bizarre story from the world of amateur golf. Strap in folks, this one is a doozy.

Oak Hills’ own Will Worth joins the show for a deep discussion on the FedEx Cup playoffs as our boys compete to get in. Perhaps the PGA has finally gotten the schedule right and has threaded the sports news cycle perfectly as we are talking scenarios and tour cards and guys on the bubble in the first week of August. In breaking news, FIFA is corrupt, and Mayor Jones tries to revisit San Antonio's support for the Spurs arena and the larger Project Marvel. And then we turn our attention to all the ills of sports and solve the rest of them. We smart!

Local talent Mac Meissner and Johnny Keefer are fighting hard to make it to the playoffs so best wishes to both of them. But we start out by talking about stabbing on a golf course. San Antonio’s own true crime podcast. Then Lebron goes to Philly and we wonder if he will be embraced by the fans that threw batteries at Santa. And we round back around to the golfing end of season. Oh yeah, we may have discussed Spurs hush money and whether they could have dodged their contractual obligations.

The World Cup Ends with a whimper by Argentina and a great win for Spain. Viva Espana. The trophy pose gets interrupted though. Fox dazzles at the Open, or the British Open if you are Phil. And since we are in the dark ages for sports news, we decide to do some movie picks and Phil and Bob give up their Rushmore of golf movies. One of us is back from his golfing trip where it was a hot 82. Sorry San Antonians. The USA underwhelms in a big way against Belgium basically gifting the game with all the bone headed plays.
