Ep 106 - Cowboys Open Wallets, Wally Goes to New York and We Go Short

We had a limited amount of time this week, so we do a quick round the horn, spend some time on the Cowboys and Wally gets hyped on the college season and makes a case for UTSA in the CFP. We applaud Scott Van Pelt coming back to the air, and Walter goes gaga over it. Then we hear yet another endorsement for the Big Apple. Though golf is too expensive and Walter Rant #1 is engaged.

Ok, we are still in a lull for sports news. Though College Football Week 0 is a few days away, the NFL is finishing up preseason and other than baseball, not much going on. We soldier through, talk about the Spurs Top 5, new Missions stadium, some classic Walter grumpiness and a few other things. Stick around to the after song for something we resurrected from the cutting room floow.

We gush over the Olympics… well, two of us do. What made this one so different. Discuss. Walter recommends not going to the coast and staying here and going to an amusement park.

Well, Walter has lots of opinions about the Olympics but isn't watching very much. Really? It is the rules, dude. We talk a little NFL and College preseason football rankings. And restaurants struggling.

First weekend of the Olympics and while only two of us watched some of the games, we decided to talk about it anyway. Sorry, Walter. We talk about our favorite fringe sports, and then Walter pipes in with more Wemby hate. Well, its not hate, it's the truth. But it sounds like hate. And France just barely won over Japan in OT after we recorded this. Sorry, Japan.

We had a big layoff and we came out long. Talk about Olympics the Cowboys and the Dream Team. Oh, and Walter is still angry!

Well, we turn 100 and Richie makes a guest appearance. Macha man as well. We talk some NBA finals, women's olympic basketball, major league eating, and whether wrestling is real. Yep, just another episode.

We talk about the slow news week, but still find a way to get Walter mad - we talk about Caitlin Clark. Jeff and Walter dissect the upcoming NBA Finals. Then we turn our attention to everything that the Cowboys ARE NOT doing.

We talk about the changing landscape of collegiate sports after the lawsuit. Jeff buries the Timberwolves and their spotty play. We talk about the Commanders and what their new/old name should be now that there are rumblings that they are considering a name change. Major League Baseball incorporates statistics from the Negro League, but Jeff things they need to do some more research as Satchel Paige only had about 30 victories added.
