In life, we often feel the pull to follow our own desires. However, those desires can lead us away from what God has for us, especially when we listen to our hearts instead of the Word of God. That’s why Pastor Ken reminds us to be cautious when entering partnerships with unbelievers, whether in business or relationships, because Scripture warns against being unequally yoked. God desires what is best for our lives, and when we follow His Word instead of our own desires, we stay aligned with His plan.
When you look at the injustices that are happening in our world every day, it’s heartbreaking. Children, youth, and vulnerable people are being sold into slavery more than ever before in history. Wars are being carried out and resulting in the death of thousands of civilians. All the while, the powerful leaders and global elites carry on with no consequence. As Pastor Ken examines the prophecy of Zechariah, we’ll be reminded that God will not allow this injustice to carry on forever.
The United States has the largest, most well-funded, and technologically advanced military in the world. The weapons we possess strike fear into the enemies of our country, and that’s not even considering the weapons we don’t know about. Despite all of that, it’s nothing compared to the might of God’s angel armies or His sovereign power over all Creation. As Pastor Ken continues our study of Zechariah, we’ll be reminded that this battle belongs to the Lord and His enemies don’t stand a chance.
Wow, that’s an astonishing number. Even with the economic struggles we’ve seen in our country over the last handful of years, very few of us know what it means to be hungry. As sad as it is to imagine what it must be like to suffer under famine, this is yet one more sign that Jesus is coming back soon. In today’s message, Pastor Ken will draw our attention to the signs listed in Zechariah heralding the end times. Many of them can easily be checked off just by reading through your news feed.
It’s not too hard to imagine the grotesque antisemitism required for this passage to come to fruition. This is already a real problem in many of Israel’s neighbors, as well as select groups throughout the world. It has been all throughout history. Much like the story of Joseph and his brothers, many nations of the world don’t look favorably on God’s favor towards Israel. As Pastor Ken examines today’s passage in Zechariah, we’ll see what this hatred leads to, but God will protect Israel in the end.
False teachers are rarely obvious. In many cases, they may not even be aware of their own role as a false teacher. They may have bought into a misinterpretation of God’s love and grace and are seeking to share what they see as true. This is why it’s so important that we’re actively submitting ourselves to the guidance of the Holy Spirit and digging into God’s Word. As Pastor Ken will warn us in today’s message, we can’t let our guard down as false teachers will increase in the End Times.
Has your heart come to that place? Have you realized your desperate need for a Savior? It’s a beautiful, life-changing moment for anyone who experiences it. God desires that all would come to this point of repentance. It doesn’t matter what you’ve done or who you are; He loves you and has extended the invitation through Jesus to become part of His family. As Pastor Ken examines the prophecy contained in Zechariah concerning the End Times, we’re reminded of this transformative truth.
There have been groups of Christians throughout the history of the Church who have believed that the Church has replaced the nation of Israel as God’s chosen nation. While we have been grafted into His family because of His incredible grace, we are not a replacement of Israel. As Pastor Ken will explain in today’s message, God still very much has a plan for Israel, and they hold a special place in His heart as a nation. Sadly, many Jews have rejected Jesus, but many will believe in Him in the End Times.
God is a God of redemption. Not only does He redeem our souls, restoring us to spiritual perfection in His sight; He redeems situations, circumstances, and will one day redeem the very world. All things will be made new in Him. As we continue our study of the prophecy of Zechariah today with Pastor Ken, we’ll be reminded that God frequently uses hardship to accomplish His will. He doesn’t inflict suffering on His Children for this purpose, but He redeems our broken circumstances for our good.
Feeling nervous about the End Times is normal. The descriptions we find in the prophecies of the Bible do not sound appealing. War, natural disasters, plagues, and chaos on a global scale. We got a little preview of an apocalyptic scene back in 2020, but that was nothing compared to what’s to come. But, as Pastor Ken will encourage us in today’s message, we can take comfort in knowing that Jesus won’t allow His Church to suffer through the worst of what’s to come.
