Episode 45 is a conversation with Dilip Sivaraman about clockmaking and all the things that go into the art of horology. We talk about how he found his interest in clockmaking and the various factors that are to be kept in mind while making a clock that is precise. This episode will help answer a few questions that budding horologists may have!
Dilip Sivaraman is an Architect who found his love for horology when he was trying to get a grandfather clock fixed. He took it to numerous clockmakers and on not finding a solution, dismantled the clock and tried to fix it himself. One thing led to another and he ended up developing an interest in this art and spent his time perfecting his own movement. He was the finalist in the AHCI young talent competition that is held in Switzerland. To date, he has perfected two clocks named Gato and Lisko and there are two other clocks o his drawing board that is on the precipice of coming to life. Each clock is mechanical and is designed in a fashion that it can be passed on from generation to generation!

Episode 44 is a conversation with Pooja Rai who is the co-founder of Anthill Creations. We talk about the benefits of play and the learning that children get from it. She also talks about the use of sustainable materials and recycling which is a priority in all the Anthill creations.
Pooja Rai is an architect and as Alumna of IIT Kharagpur who co-founded Anthill creations. When she was in college and was the kids playing on the ground with whatever resources they had and making the most of it. ( They were playing badminton with slippers!), she decided to do something for them. Using scrap tyres and all the sustainable materials that she could find, she along with her friends created a playscape for these children to enjoy. Thus began her entrepreneurial journey and there was no looking back. Today, she along with her team have created more than 250 playgrounds for underprivileged children across India.

Episode 43 is a conversation with Himalee Adhav about the Japanese language and the scope of learning the language in the field of teaching and translation. Episode 42 is a conversation with Sudarshan and Archana Hebbar about their startup Hebbars Kitchen. Hebbars Kitchen was initially started as a blog with pictures that showed the steps of preparation of each and every dish. Later they discovered the Buzzfeed short-form videos and were inspired to start short videos. The short videos are a boon for all the millennials like me who are too love quick solutions to everything. We discussed their journey so far and I had an enjoyable time conversing with both.
Archana is an engineer who started Hebbars kitchen as a creative outlet which soon grew into a full-fledged startup. That is when Sudarshan stepped in to help with the technical and marketing aspects of the startup. They both work hand in hand to make sure that the startup is running smoothly and without any glitches. When asked if they love the competition, they said that they absolutely enjoy being challenged as it helps them grow and become better at their craft.

When the Covid-19 pandemic hit the nation and a lockdown was announced, Paritosh knew that there is going to be a huge hunger problem. He wanted to do something for the people who lived in Govandi. He along with his team started this campaign FEEDING FROM FAR to make the people of the community self-sufficient. The main objective of the campaign was to raise funds and set systems in place that would help the locals manage to procure essentials, cook, pack, and deliver the meal packets to each and every household in the community. The systems helped the residents of Govandi become self-reliant.
