My wife and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary so we went on a fantastic trip to Cuba. The place was amazing and beautiful. We stayed at an Airbnb and our hosts were very gracious. But aside from all that, I realized something very important from the people there and the situation they’re in, in terms of being an Unshcakled Owner. More importantly, I realized this from what the people were doing about the situation that they’re in.

Most people who have made it really big in business, at first had many failures before they succeeded. Having tenacity, the ability to hold on even when things seem to be failing, is critical. “Courage is not having the strength to go on, it’s going on when you don’t have the strength” Theodore Roosevelt. It is really all about sticking with it. Genius is 1% talent and 99% hard work. “Never confuse a single defeat with a final defeat” F. Scott Fitzgerald Have the courage to stick with it!
Most people Aaron meets who are starting a business think too small. People that set small goals will probably achieve them. However, in the same amount of time it takes to reach that small goal, you could also reach a much larger dynamic goal. As we start 2017 Aaron asks, “how big are you willing to dream?” The biggest obstacle to gaining real wealth is fear. People are afraid to think big, but if you think small you are only going to get small results. Aaron tells you how to set the big goal, and also shares the goals he has set for his own company for 2017!
Most business owners are not good at hiring and managing people. They need to learn to look at their people as human resources, the very best resource they can get their hands on. When you look at your team members as an investment, not an expense, and how you are going to get the best return on that investment, you can help them to be the best they can be, you are able to drive the process and be a true leader. If you are honest enough to say “Here are some things I am not good at.” When you are open and clear about who you need to hire to balance your own strengths, you look like a winner, a smart leader that others want to follow. You can not be a master of all things. You have to be an expert in what you know, and outsource or hire where you are weak. “If everyone is moving forward together, then success takes care of itself.” Henry Ford.
