The Unshackled Waves

At the Unshackled as part of our continuous expansion we’ve welcomed aboard a few new contributors. One of them is Aidan Green who also operates The Commentariat website where he produces commentary videos and articles about current global events, with a particular focus on the Trump era in the United States.

Aidan shares with us life experiences traveling around the world and witnessing different cultures and governments on the ground in those nations. He describes his time at the University of Wollongong studying international relations and the fightback against leftist bias.

We then turn to contemporary political phenomenons including the election of Donald Trump in 2016 providing a rational analysis of his Presidency so far. We also look at the Brexit mess in the UK and comment on the Morrison's Government unpredicted election victory here in Australia.

We analyze the state of the mainstream media with their collapsing business model and the rise of the citizen and alternative media. We finish by offering some predictions about future geopolitical developments.

It's a Friday night so joining me again in what we are aiming to turn into a regular relaxed weekly live show is Ben Shand the Dusty Bogan.

We begin with a Queensland federal election debrief which helped deliver Scott Morrison his election victory with the state voting to support jobs in the state. The Queensland state Labor government as a result is fast tracking the approval of the Adani coal mine in Central Queensland.

We turn our attention the transmania that is being forced upon the western world with Gillette releasing another virtue signalling advertisement featuring a transman shaving, we have another children's drag story-time under the Liberal South Australian Government and transwomen dominating women's sports.

The first test of Australia's border security post-election occurred with a boat carrying 20 Sri Lankan asylum seekers was turned back by newly re-elected Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton. It gave us a glimpse of an alternate reality if Labor had won the election.

We have seen anthem boycott campaign return to Australia with two Indigenous NRL players stating they will not sign Australia's national anthem during the State of Origin series. We both agree this will do nothing to help Indigenous disadvantage.

We discuss the battle to end abortion which has had victories in the US state of Georgia however media giants are threatening a boycott of the state. There is also an effort to blacklist the pro-life film Unplanned from being screen in major cinemas worldwide.

Two months have passed since the Christchurch mosque shooting that killed 51 Muslims carried out by Australian white nationalist Brenton Tarrant.

The eyes of the world were on New Zealand during this time with the media and commentariat falling in love with their Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern praising her as an exemplary world leader.

But while the world was grieving efforts limit free speech and civil liberties were in motion. The battle to protect freedom in New Zealand is now at its critical moment.
