I get to sit down with sales guru Neal Birnbaum and we talk about all the different ways that athletes already have sales skills built into them.  There are so many correlations with what happens on the field that will allow an athlete to excel in the sales world. 

I sat down with cross country runner Stasia Demick about the transition process. After a tough injury Stasia talks about what it took for her to find what was next.  Stasia mentions that most athletes tend to learn the hard way that there is so much more to ourselves than just sports. 

I sit down with former college basketball player Dustin Allen. We do a deep dive on the face that you only really compete against yourself. All the time you spent in the gym, all the film you watched, you were continually creating a better form of you.  

I get to sit down with Ryan Jordan and we chat it up about the transition from the sports world.  Ryan has some great points and we do a deep dive into the name on your jersey vs. the other people wearing them. And that we should always be asking more questions than voicing opinions. 

There is going to be a lot of love from my tribe, team and family during season 1.  And there will probably be a bit about Whitman.  Marah and I sit down and we dive into the transition and Marah brings up a great analogy to living life with 5 seconds on the clock.  All the pressure, all the fear that you might have, you have to play and your team is depending on you to succeed.  No doubt I still search for these moments in the real world! 

Haley was such an awesome connection that was made by my former high school coach. Haley was a hooper back in the day but has such an awesome story and transition into the real world. From working in the NBA and experiencing all sorts of different roles she was finally able to figure out what she truly enjoyed doing.  It may not be forever - which is so cool - but for now it excites her! 

Justin Artis is a former teammate of mine and someone who I admire as a leader.  Justin talks about how athletes know the transition is coming but we struggle knowing what to do next. Most of us end up taking whatever job we can to just "have a job".  

Kieran Ramsey grew up and played for a power house program, Harvard Westlake, in Los Angeles. He went on to compete at Southern Connecticut State University. We talk about the pressures on going D1. We talk about the hardest parts of transitioning and never being able to get that time back. Kieran mentions that you can't control if you're the smartest person in the room, but you can always be the most prepared. 

I sit down with stand out UCSD basketball player Jamie Katuna.  As she heads into the medical world she talks to us about the difference between Sponsors and Mentors and that you need to have both! Huge take aways! One of my earlier interviews but such great stuff I had to publish it. 

Sitting down and reconnecting with Jeremiah was a bunch of fun.  We both were athletes at the same high school and went our separate ways for college sports.

Jeremiah talks about this idea that the most competition is at the bottom.  Everyone wants to be an influencer/actor/speaker/athlete/insert what everyone wants to be.  The thing is that it takes a lot of hard work.  Once people start to realize how hard it is, the saturation starts to diminish.  But only once you start moving up.
