I am a supporter of #zohranmamdani and have expressed that throughout his campaign. I think that it is disrespectful, however, to call new candidates for office like Councilwoman Janeese Lewis George in DC "The Mamdani of DC" or Omar Fateh the "Mamdani of Minneapolis." It is disrespectful to the legacy of Reverend Jesse Jackson and others like former Chicago Mayor Harold Washington. History matters and we need to respect the architects. What do you think?

The shooter of the National Guard soldier suffered from sever mental illness. That does not excuse the behavior, but that should be the focus rather than Islamophobic stereotypes. Rahmanullah Lakanwal was not some Islamic radical. He had a gun put in his hand by the CIA. He has a well documented history of PTSD and more. This country let him down. This is not about Afghan culture. It's about our American culture of failing to help people get mental health services, coupled with the easy availability of guns in this country. Andrew Wolfe and Sarah Beckstrom deserve better than this. We all do.

Trump and MAGA continually break the law every single day. They get pardons. They get richer. We have one tragic incident like the shooting of the National Guard soldier and now #trump wants to get rid of all people from Afghanistan? Now 19 countries have to be banned again? This happens after he pardons over 1500 insurrectionists who went out and continued to do more criminal activity. Trump has always had a plan to round up Black & Brown people and we have to stop giving him a pass to do so.

Don't rewrite history and don't get it twisted. In listening to  @msnow  today, there was a narrative spun that people in Washington, DC welcomed the National Guard. That couldn't be further from the truth. As you will hear me discuss and you can read in the articles below, we fought hard to prevent the  @nationalguard  from coming to DC. As the attention is rightfully placed on the 2 soldiers fighting for their lives, We cannot a new narrative to arise that the National Guard was a welcomed force in Washington, DC.

I am so tired of the whataboutism and "both sides" rhetoric about toning down the violent rhetoric in America today. It starts with Trump and works its way down. Furthermore, most of the violence comes from his followers. ALL violence is bad and NO ONE should engage in violent rhetoric but I have seen no other arena where the leader of a country, company, school, etc. is not looked at first as it relates to setting the tone. This is why I agree with #michaelfanone who said that the problem in America today starts with Trump and mist work its way down. Call a thing a thing!

It was sad to hear Nicki Minaj give a speech on Christian so-called persecution in Nigeria on behalf of the Trump administration. She had some good points but she was factually wrong and speaking on someone who practices NO Christian principles in any way, shape, or form in America and beyond.  @nickiminaj  needs to speak to researchers and experts on Nigeria and stop lending her credibility to #trump. Furthermore, #nickiminaj should call out the very non-christian actions of the Trump administration right here in The United States.

At a press conference for Epsteins victims, one of the survivors that there were failures under Clinton, Bush, Obama, Biden, and BOTH #trump administrations, yet both democratic and republican lawmakers, folks in the media like #joescarborough and #stephenasmith want to bring up the Biden administration. This is dishonest at best and really indicates an ulterior motive. Furthermore, several democrats who are pursuing this case were not there under #biden. Stop the #whataboutism and put the focus on these survivors if you REALLY care about these victims, emphasis on "really."

What are we doing out in these #youtube streets? In these Black media and Black targeted media spaces, I'm seeing things that are making me feel like #hiphop beef and I think we have to be more responsible with our platforms. I think critiquing one another is fine but the takedowns and personal attacks serve others but not us, just as was the case with hip-hop. What do you think?

It's disgusting and it isn't being condemned strongly enough. If you support her show and don't call her out, you are part of the problem. Period.
