The USL Show

We open the show with a tribute to the victims of Christchurch–bringing attention to the touching letter written by Elliot Collier to his friend Atta Elayyan. But we don’t linger too long on the sad. In addition to covering every USL game in week 2, we talk about the USL A(cademy) and a few of the top players in the first two weeks of play.

Week 1 is here and with it comes some contradictions to our predictions. We talk about all the games and how they affect our assumptions.

Jason Weinstraub and Ben Goshorn, the Soccer Goose, join us to talk about a few player signings, but the bulk of this show is about how we rank the top 10 teams of both the Eastern & Western conferences.

The USL Show is joined by friends Carson Merk, Harry Austin, Jason Weintraub, Ben Goshorn, and Alan Underwood to draft discuss the teams we think will best succeed this season.

There were friendly results and plenty of front office trash talk. Let’s put on our business socks for our true love. USL soccer.

Can you buy a championship? Are pro clubs pushing amateurs out of the Open Cup? Who will win the soccer war in Chattanooga? Well, let’s talk it out.

You Play We Don’t with Phoenix Rising’s new winger Joey Calistri, and St. Louis FC’s returning Golden Glove keeper, Tomas Gomez. This is an old interview that reveals Tomas’ many challenges and trials last season and also the many ways Joey was used by Ant Pulis.

We’re happy to share a preview of a new show that’s part of the BGN Family: League One Fun!  Are you ready for USL League One?  This crew is!

Introductions first, general talk about the teams, then a little more depth with players. Come join us in our League 1 fun!

If you like the show be sure to go subscribe on Spotify and Stitcher, Apple and Google coming soon!

Travis Clark of Top Drawer Soccer joins us to chat about how the USL relates to the MLS Superdraft, homegrown signings, and the college game.
