The Vaktare

DM Emily of Qorvae's Miniatures goes over guidelines and set up for a new mini-campaign with a cast containing a gaggle of goths plus one (1) sparkly, rainbow cinnamon bun.

The party races into the underground vault and crypt on the Battenbrand family grounds to save Clarity who had snuck ahead and found herself face to face with a fearsome creature. Will they find who and what they seek within?

Ranger Breckett ( @hammpod ) is joined by Ranger Borealis (Elissa of Embroidered Tales).

The party leaves Rivalis and makes their way to Castle Avernus to learn what they can from the outside. Finding the damage catastrophic and more than a little confusing, Athelstan seeks out his former tutor Eugene, only to find him still on the grounds, investigating what occurred. The two converse, Athelstan reveals a bit of his feelings and misgivings while the party waits nearby. Instead of risking exploring the castle, the group decides to head for Bratslava Institute to seek out Tommen, Athelstan's youngest sibling. Feelings were had by most of the party. Happy New Year to all.

The party makes their way to the home of the Talonstone family in search of a way to perhaps enter the Battenbrand estate without issue. They learn that the son of Anniz Talonstone is missing and is presumed to be somewhere in the Battenbrand estate and are charged with returning him. New clothes are had, RAM has a panic attack before accosting some peonies, and Clarity sneaks ahead only to find out that it was probably a mistake to go alone.

The final session of 2022! The party is in Rivalis and enjoys a bit of downtime, full of The Ballad of Wolf Head Wylie. They discuss plans for what to do in Darkon, met Mina face-to-face for the first time, and Breeze is gifted back the years lost to the asylum. The braid train happens. Gabriella speaks to Ki'Lai about a spelljammer ship and a way to possibly get there. In the morning, they visit Van Richten's estate to collect Sly and Gordynne, and visit his library where they make a few discoveries. Atlas has a breakthrough with the party.   Thank you to everyone for an amazing year! Be safe and enjoy your holidays! Much love from The Vaktare to you.  Check out our sponsor! Forever-player Maggie takes their turn in the GM seat with this cute af Honey Heist one-shot in support of AAPI Heritage Month.

The party sets out to collect the relics Queen Iliana has requested of them and they make their way south to Vel Todir, the Dwarven capital of Makahn and the place where RAM first came out of stasis. Strange things are seen on the air ship ride in the skies to the east but what could they mean? In Vel Todir the party learns of an upcoming even that might allow them access to the Battenbrand family home. Is RAM ready to face their past?

The party has arrived in Rivalis after leaving Martira Bay. Sly is reunited with her beloved Minotaur boyfriend, Gordynne. The party is regaled with the tale of Wolf Head Wylie... more than once. Toss a coin to your bard? Ki'Lai lets go of a piece of her past and prays to her god, whoever that is. Athelstan and Mina visit his old stomping ground and don't talk about it. The party learns they've been gone for a year, not the month and a half they thought, and meet Milly, the owner of the tavern who tells them about the destruction of Castle Avernus just over the next ridge.
