KAREN READ : KILLER OR COVER-UP?
Join me as I discuss the high profile trial of Karen Read--who is accused of murdering her Boston police officer boyfriend John O'Keefe back in January 2022, and leaving him to die in the snow. But is this case really what it seems?
Her first trial took place at Norfolk County District Court in Dedham, Massachusetts, from April-July 2024, and ended in a hung jury--officially declared a "mistrial". Now she faces a a new set of 12 jurors, in the same courthouse, in the same town. Will she be acquitted this time around? Or will she be found guilty? In this episode, I go over both the prosecution and defense's very different theories of what happened that night, a recent update on the new jury selection, as well as several findings of police misconduct, and mishandling of the investigation itself.
We are most likely only DAYS away from opening statements in this second trial.
