If you have been dragging your feet about listening to us because of the time commitment, a fear of robots, technical difficulties or some other phenomenon - this aught to help. Just a taste of The 'Verse! (get it, like in universe?) where you meet the team and learn what we're about. If you like it, please subscribe.
In today's episode we delve into the third installment of Marvel's What If…? series which asks, what if we lost Earth's mightiest heroes? Listen for our takes of this creative, film-noir style episode.
Then we web sling our way into the hotly anticipated Spiderman: No Way Home trailer for another multiversal conversation. Curious about all those juicy theories about Andrew Garfield and Mephisto? Yeah, neither are we.
Finally we ditch Star Wars noob Emilia to talk about the first season of The Bad Batch. If you listen all the way to the end, you might just get to hear a recipe for the best scrambled eggs...so tune in, or else.

In this episode, the squad gets...READY TO DRAAAAFFTTT! That’s right, we’re putting together our own team of Avengers, but here’s the catch - no one can choose the same hero. Tune in to hear about which heroes are most powerful, whose team will fall apart at the first sign of danger, and a whole lot of hero stealing. Who would be on your Avengers team? Let us know on Twitter!
Then we discuss the latest episode of Marvel’s What If…? where we explore how much better (or worse?) the universe would be if Yondu picked up T’Challa instead of Peter Quill. We reflect on femme fatale Nebula, good guy Thanos, and Chadwick Boseman’s legacy as the iconic Black Panther.
If you stick around, you might get to hear about some of the less-appreciated characters of the MCU...

The ‘Verse Squad chats with The Boys executive producer Rebecca Sonnenshine who wrote the Emmy-nominated script for the series’ bloody season two finale. We delve into her origin story, how to deconstruct the real world into darkly comedic and insightful satire, and our favorite Supes and superpowers. As big fans of The Boys, we were diabolically delighted for this opportunity and can’t recommend it enough (WARNING: NOT for kids).
The Boys is streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
The squad reviews James Gunn’s THE Suicide Squad with surprisingly mixed reactions, a poetry slam, and both spoiler-FREE and spoiler-FILLED discussions. Listen to hear our final grade of this violent, needle drop-filled successor to the much-maligned 2016 film. And of course let us know your thoughts on Twitter @TheVerseCast! Would you give this movie an A+ or an F?
We follow up our review with a discussion of the first installment of Marvel’s What If…? series streaming on Disney+. Have you ever wondered how superhero history would change if Peggy Carter were the first Avenger instead of Steve Rodgers? How would the classic Stars and Bars suit look if it had a Union Jack across the front instead?
As your one-stop shop for all the cinematic universe news you need to know, we cover Chloe Bennet’s exit from CW’s live-action Powerpuff Girls series, The Mandalorian’s season two announcement, Better Call Saul star Bob Odenkirk’s recovery, and Idris Elba’s new role as Knuckles in the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog sequel.
Our discussions take place in peace as Emilia’s locked our cheeky robot Kronsworth in a closet. Don’t mind the murderous beeps and whirs.

We did it guys. We finally removed Emilia’s OG Star Wars trilogy blindspot in...The 'Verse Squad! Blindspots! Kronsworth suggested we remove it surgically, but we opted for a must-hear conversation between Star Wars newbs and nerds instead (KW, put down that scalpel!).
In our news section we cover our favorite crooked lawyer/action star’s health scare on the set of Better Call Saul (spoiler alert: he’s ok! Phew.), and why two alphas can’t work together even if they’re Furious family. Then we hop around to some other cinematic universes to discuss the unwarranted backlash to Netflix’s Masters of the Universe and some exciting leaked casting choices for Disney+’s upcoming Ahsoka Star Wars series.
Finally we round things off with a no-holds-barred head-to-head discussion of the best vehicle in any cinematic universe. If you stayed tuned until the very end, you might just hear some out of this world impressions from the next generation of Oscar-winners.

Either way we have some theories for you that’ll have you questioning everything. We also discuss the official Shang-Chi trailer drop and its reveal of the Hulk villain Abomination, Apple TV+’s upcoming Foundation TV series, goin’ back to “da moovies” with F9, and the unusual and mundane perils of acting on an Indiana Jones set.
