This week on the Vill House Podcast we are back after a brief break and catching up where we left off. We're discussing the many life transitions we're experiencing, the future of our podcast, another tangent on books, and work/life balance.
This week on the Vill House Podcast we are talking about our family history. We returned home from my grandfather's funeral and seeing all my family members and talking about the past had me thinking about my own family history. It also made me think about how much do any of us really know about our family history, our grandparents, and even our parents.
This week on the Vill House Podcast we're back after skipping a week to recover from COVID. Our household has been sick for the past week and a half so we took that time to recover. We also saw the movie "Brad's Status" starring Ben Stiller in which he reviews his life choices through a series of memories as he tours colleges for his son. It got us thinking about how we felt about our position in life, the gratitude we have for what we have, and discussing how we have experienced similar thoughts in the past. That led us into talking about how we view celebrities in this day and age.
This week on the Vill House Podcast we are asking and answering hypothetical questions. We started out on getting into banned books and history before getting into the questions. These hypotheticals always make for good conversation along with some laughs.
This week on the Vill House Podcast we are talking about painful experiences. I injured my back last week which brings up the topic and we take a trip down a painful memory lane sharing some of our most painful experiences. Somehow we went down a rabbit hole and ended up talking about being a helicopter parent.
This week on the Vill House Podcast we have returning guest Matt Williams from episode 6 where we talked about his time in the Air Force Honor Guard, episode 7 talking about leadership lessons, and episode 8 where we talked about depression and suicide specifically in the military. This time around we're talking about how his year went, good unit leadership, mandatory COVID vaccine for DOD members, and more.
This week on the Vill House Podcast we are talking the new year. We discuss some of our goals for 2022 and some of the things that we have to look forward to in the new year. As with every year, we're going to try to make it better than the previous year.
This week on the Vill House Podcast we take a look back at 2021. We discuss accomplishments we had, memories, and some of our thoughts throughout the year.
This week on the Vill House Podcast we're talking virtual reality. We recently purchased an Oculus Quest 2 headset and jumped into virtual reality. It's a lot of fun and exciting, but it is a little unnerving how fast this is moving. It takes us back to the book/movie "Ready Player One" in which the lives of that entire world are lived through virtual reality. We are already at a point where people are working, learning, and basically living in virtual reality. So how much further are we going to take it? I'm looking forward to it, but like with all else, there will be a downside.
