I’m about two days behind schedule this week because of other more pressing issues, but I have managed to carve out some time to talk about the United States, and how it’s starting to mirror the old Soviet Republic right up to when it finally came to it’s inglorious end by December 25th, 1991.

I will try hard to map out the parallels between the U.S. right now, compared to Russia back in the late 1980’s right up to the day they took the old hammer and sickle down at the Kremlin, and raised the new federation flag in its stead.

So, gather round, sit you down somewhere comfortable for a bit as I walk people through a little history in today’s podcast. Next week, I’ll bring it all together to show how everything is starting to fit together towards the day that someone raises a different flag in Washington D.C after the collapse of the United States.

As I've said repeatedly here, I do these weekly videos and commentaries because I want to talk to people about what I'm thinking about. These seemingly random topics are largely based on articles that got my attention throughout the past week. This week is no different.

Most of us have seen some of the viral videos posted about the horrific flooding from the Hindu-Kush mountains in Nepal and Tibet, where the glacier let go, and wiped out whole villages when the wall of water went down the valleys, on it's way to the ocean. That struck me, then I started thinking about what if. And that is the subject of this week's video. Not so much what if, but when. When will the world see another one of these glaciers let go because of global warming?

So, gather round, sit you down somewhere comfortable for a bit as I bring you some facts that might scare a few people, and. maybe, what to expect over the next few years, as the planet continues to warm up.

I’m back, after a couple of week layoff. During my online absence, I’ve been very hard at work rebuilding my domain network infrastructure, after having to replace a failed hard drive in my primary server. It all went down hill from there for a couple of weeks, where at one point, I didn’t have any internet access at all for several days. Didn’t that make my family mad.

It’s all back up and running again. Everyone in the family is happy, especially my step-daughter and their oldest son. I have been steadily tweaking things as I see errors crop up, but it’s all good for now.

Meanwhile, while I was out of action (causing me a lot of lost sleep while working hard to fix everything), the world continued to head towards more chaos. I missed several days worth of news, but I finally got caught up by yesterday, for the most part. I’m not here today to talk about the bad news everywhere. We already know about that. What I do want to talk about, was my recent experiment with the free AI tools now imbedded in all of our browsers. I also received a news article from Kit Klarenberg, who writes in a Substack called Global Delinquents, about how the German government, still feeling sorry for the holocaust in the 20th century, is enabling the illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank.

So, gather round, sit you down somewhere comfortable for a bit as I tell you of my adventures in IT as a network and systems administrator, and how AI played a large part in my many sleepless nights because they are very faulty.

I normally try to stay away from U.S. politics as a rule, but the events and news stories of late, are making me lean into things again. What I mean by that, is all of this business with active, blatant interference in the upcoming mid-term elections by Trump and his MAGA republicans. What I’m seeing, and what is being predicting by people smarter than I am, is that Trump is becoming desperate and willing to do whatever it takes to make sure his people win, regardless of how they get it done. The law be damned.

I have something a little more personal to talk about this week. I want to talk about the declining veterans health care services those of us who gave a portion of our lives are supposed to be receiving from our Veterans hospitals.

As some of you may remember me saying before, I am a military veteran who gave up close to twenty five years of my life in military service to the United States. In the course of multiple deployments and countless training exercises that kept me from coming home at night, I got pretty banged up along the way, like a lot of us have.

So, gather round, sit you down somewhere comfortable for a bit while I talk about a recent encounter with my local Veterans Administration hospital and the overall picture of a declining empire that still wants our young people to fight for them, but has now decided to not to take care of us like they promised.

I’m at a bit of a quandary this week, because there is so much going on in the news that I don’t want to just parrot the main stream media.

So, let’s talk about the overall decline of the United States under the helm of Trump and his government full of thugs, rapists, domestic abusers and outright nut jobs.

First, let me apologize up front for the poor audio. As I mentioned, I’m undergoing some major upgrades in my IT infrastructure this month and apparently StreamYard was affected like so much else in my network.
