In this episode I will be discussing the history of the reticule. It is quite famous and not so infamous. I then go on to discuss the transformation from the reticule to our modern day hand and shoulder bags. 

While homeschooling and doing a unit study on Hanukkah we discovered Latkes. Traditionally they are served during Hanukkah and eaten with honey or fruit preserves. I did discover that before being made with potatoes they were made using Ricotta cheese or some other form of curdled cheese. Because of Jewish dietary laws they could not make them using this method. They are flavorful and delicious. Hope you can try them. Below is the web url where I found the recipe.

I was going to call this Red Petticoats: The Secret Code but I found little reference to petticoats as a code in the American Revolution and the color was black not red. It was however still a very interesting study and one I wish to study more.
