The Violet Wanderers

This week we welcome @kyleclarkisrad from the @thisisrad podcast! We talk all sorts of horror movies, Alexis, Ian and Kyle share how they got into horror films in the first place and we split off into a million side tracks but it's such a good time none of us minded.

Content Warning: We discuss racism, sexual assault, violence against women, sexism, misogyny, homophobia, and transphobia in this episode. We talk about how nerd culture contributed to the rise of the alt-right and get into some gnarly examples (as well as mock the chuds who think this way). As always, if we're gonna shit on bigots, their noxious beliefs will be brought up.

We welcome another sailor on the Threadnaught to join us this week. Chris is a table top RPG game designer and critic who has been dealing with chuds online since online chuds first existed. He joins Ian, Alexis and Justin "the other Justin" for a rollicking episode. We play games, one of those games is about the worst RPG ever created and talks a lot about anal circumference. It's pretty amazing.

This week we welcome 2 new guests. May and Jenny run a youtube show about trans issues called Nuanced Nonsense. They joined us for a lot of nonsense and very little nuance while we play a couple video game related games, a comics game, Jenny shows off her lack of a gag reflex, and Alexis does a few roasts.

At the end of the Ep we get into some more serious discussion about trans issues relating to doctors, because you can't have 4 trannies in a conversation without that sort of thing coming up. It's a bit more serious than our usual fare but is still a pretty interesting peek into our lives.

So here's the edited version of last week's show, for anyone who hasn't yet listened, don't bother with the unedited one unless you really want to hear us talk about random shit in between the actual takes.
it's a roundtable about bad music we love with games thrown in.

This week Justin Kapla and Rebecca N rejoin us as we discuss terrible music that we still love! There's roast jokes, a couple games Alexis made for a different episode that get thrown in here, and a lot of robot noises from Rebecca having a bad connection that gets roundly mocked. Alexis defends Limp Bizkit's first album, Ian pretends all the music he listens to is actually good and doesn't need defending, and we play a few seconds of several songs, including an infamous one by The Wet Spots. It's an all around good time.

This one is a banger! We introduce our new roundtable roast segment at the beginning of the episode, and Alexis runs a game of German or Japanese Myth, Ian does a game WTF Witches and Alexis then also has a game of Cis-Hets are fuckin weird. There's lots of riffing, Sachiko is a great sport and Kapla is as always a blast to have on.

please leave us an iTunes review! we just made it onto iTunes and it'd be swell if we looked cool there!

It's a special treat today, as we have lawyer Greg Doucette with us. You might know him as the man responsible for the Threadnaught, the currently 1,300+ post long thread wherein he destroys anime chuds who try and defend their creepy avatar, Vic and his dipshit lawyers, Ty Beard and Nick "blackface lawyer" Rekieta. No I don't give a fuck if I spelled his name wrong.
Anyways, we cut out the usual perversion in order to play some fun internet games with poor Greg, who didn't really know what he was stepping into when he commented on the LOLsuit he'd found in front of him. We play a guessing game about Anime Chud twitter profiles, Ian made a game about frivolous lawsuits, and I wrote 3 goddamn sketches, so y'all better be grateful. It's a fascinating interview, and Greg was a real sport for putting up with our usual inanity.
