In this week's podcast, we discuss Learning Science Weekly's Episode 12 where host Julieta Cygiel , who has a PhD in Customer Experience discusses the topic with community leader Sumeru 'sumo' Chatterjee.
Themes to discuss:3. Community - They mention in the podcast that they have this slack channel for customer education professionals with people from diverse background, and this seems to be a very beneficial thing for them, they learn a lot from each other.
The topic for this episode was Adam Grant's TED discussion with Arianne Huffington - co-founder of The Huffington Post on WorkLife with Adam Grant.
The episode we listened to was "When work takes over your life"
The podcast discussed various topics related to work life balance and how to set healthy boundaries.
One of the first concepts that was discussed, was the distinction between segmentors and integrator.
So a segmentor keeps their life very separate from work. They have clear boundaries.
Integrators on the other hand don’t have such clear boundaries and it’s all one big thing.

This week, Catherine is interviewing Lorraine Charles from Na'amal, about the huge possibilities for refugee workers if soft skills to work remotely were made more available to them.
Here is where Na'amal lives: https://naamal.org/
Here's Lorraine's LinkedIn profile: https://www.linkedin.com/in/lorraine-charles-94545214/

Here's a bit about Na'amal:
Na’amal provides soft skill training for refugees and other marginalised populations to be remote workers, linking them to companies who are interested in hiring them. Na’amal will further support graduates in their entry into remote work via mentorship, continued training and linking them with the remote work global community.
Na’amal’s learning partner, Workplaceless, which provides certified learning programmes to successfully transition individuals to remote work, will provide a training programme specific to the context of the beneficiaries, that takes into account the challenges that they potentially face when working remotely.
Na’amal’s language partner will provide individuals who need to improve their English with a personal tutor who will guide them through an individualised curriculum aligned to the Common European Framework.
