In this video, we'll go through 3 reasons why your shooting workouts aren't preparing you for the real game and how you can fix these mistakes.

Typically in basketball training, workouts are all about made shots and succeeding more. While that has it's place, I believe that we underestimate the value that comes from missing shots and messing up. In some cases, I would rather have a drill or a workout that forces my players to only make 40% of their shots vs. them making 80%. And the science would back that up. In this episode, we go through a deep dive on the neuroscience behind why misses can be just as valuable as makes (maybe even more valuable sometimes).

Reps are a crucial part to becoming great at anything. But when it comes to basketball training, the way we achieve "reps" is rarely the best way of doing it when we look at the true demands of the game and what the science says. In this episode, I go over why the traditional way we approach training is overrated and how it can be adjusted to see better in-game results.
