This week we sit down with Jonny Howson and discuss his journey from the first time he kicked a football for Churwell Lions to where he is today at Middlesbrough FC.
Jonny discusses the highs and lows of playing for his home town club Leeds United with promotion, relegation, a famous cup victory and a play off final loss at Wembley all in the mix! Howson's story of coming through the academy and making his dream come true by making his debut Leeds United is a real inspiring story but is matched by the lows of having to make the hardest decision of his life to move on with the club not matching his own ambitions.
Jonny goes on to talking about his next adventure to Norwich City and how this was a big change from his time in Leeds with the opportunity of getting to play in the Premier League but also having to move away from his family. Howson discusses the differences between the Premier League and Championship and how he actually felt more suited to the higher standard.
Howson's adventure is still ongoing with his current club Middlesbrough FC and he discusses how he had to overcome bad form in the initial stages with his new club. He talks about the real togetherness he can currently feel within the club even though the form hasn't match the clubs overall ambitions.
We finally hear from Jonny on what the future looks like once football is finished and some of the overall highlights of his career!
