He refers to Exodus 24:16 to demonstrate how God communicated with Moses, reaching from the spiritual realm into the natural world. When God spoke, His voice was heard, His thoughts were revealed, and His words were perceived by everyone present. Also, Hebrews 12:18-21 describes what occurred when God addressed the Israelites, leading them to be consumed with fear and prompting them to ask Moses to intercede for them.

Joseph further explains that the pure holiness of God broke into fallen creation, confronting humanity's sin when He spoke. The Israelites witnessed God's consuming fire and hid from Him. He clarifies that the same voice that spoke on the mountain and through the fire is present in the Bible. We can bring that voice alive in our hearts by studying the Scriptures. He emphasizes that God is a consuming fire and that Jesus is the Word of God; when God speaks, things happen, just as He spoke creation into existence. He further explains that Jesus is the Word made flesh and was with God during the creation of the earth, as illustrated in Proverbs 8:22-31.
