On this week's episode we have the opportunity to sit down with Cullen Gillaspia, otherwise known as Gilly. The Katy, TX native had his sights set on greek life and taking care of his grades as a normal student until a call from Texas A&M changed everything. Unsure of whether or not football was really going to be for him, Cullen reluctantly showed up giving his best day in and day out, only because of his love for competition (and the voice of his momma) until one day a switch flipped, and from that point on everything changed. 4 years into his NFL career now and Cullen continues to do the mental and physical work to be at his best, and seize every opportunity that comes his way. Persistence, balance, goal-setting, fighting through challenges, and execution are things that come to mind as I listen to Cullen's story. From learning how to play a position he had never played to fill a need on the team, to being employee number 5 at Bonobos, to PE, a Stanford MBA, and building a business of his own, Matt's story is full of being agile, learning new things, commitment to the process, and a belief that he could make it happen.

16 weeks ago I began training for my first marathon, and this past weekend I had the pleasure of running 26.2 miles through my old stomping grounds in Dallas, TX. On this week's episode we sit down with Idi Camara. After finishing up his professional soccer career, Idi jumped into the fast paced world tech sales. The work kept him incredibly busy, but it wasn't until a global pandemic hit that Idi was able to do the work to figure out what he is truly most passionate about. Idi founded his 'hole in the wall streetwear' brand "Original Ugly" in order to share the message that we should all be incredibly proud of who we are and what makes us unique. When you think of a hole in the wall restaurant it is usually authentic, a place where everyone can eat, and it has some of the most bomb food you can find. Think of hole in the wall streetwear the same. The brand has an authentic message, it is for everyone, and it is some of the most comfortable apparel on the market.

On this week's episode of The Walk-On Mentality Podcast we sit down with a Jack of All Trades, Scott Rousseau.  Scott has not only dabbled, but had tremendous success in various fitness realms from boxing, to surfing, running marathons, ultramarathons, and more. Not only has he had success in the fitness space, but through employing the same tactics that have allowed him success in those pursuits, he is able to crush his professional career as well as show up as a great friend, all while maintaining balance and enjoying the little things life has to offer, like cake and pizza.  Through removing the self-limiting governor that most people have when it comes to doing "the unknown" or the "hard things", Scott has been able to see time and time again that the only limits that exist are ones we impose on ourselves.
