  • National Championship Preview

The National Championship is set! Ohio State and Notre Dame will face off in Atlanta on Monday night. Shehan Jeyarajah joins Jake and William to preview the National Championship, but first, the guys recap the Orange Bowl and Cotton Bowl. Notre Dame executed late, while Penn State went the entire game without completing a pass to a wide receiver. What did Notre Dame do to stay in the game long enough to eventually take advantage? How did Penn State lose control of the game they seemed destined to win in the first half? Ohio State continued to hurt itself with penalties, while Texas struggled to stretch the field. Texas relied on its running backs to score, while Ohio State found a few explosive plays on offense and defense to help lead them to victory.

Shehan joins the Walk-On Redshirts to preview the National Championship. How can Notre Dame make this a game and prevent Ohio State from having the success we've seen in the current playoffs? Will the injuries catch up to the Fighting Irish after losing another offensive lineman against Penn State? Ohio State looked nearly impossible to stop through the first two games, but Texas provided a blueprint. How will Ohio State look to get their playmakers the ball, and where do they have success in the matchups? • College Football Playoff Semifinal Preview

The College Football Playoffs are down to just four teams: Ohio State, Texas, Notre Dame, and Penn State. Texas survived a scare from Arizona State, winning in double overtime. Quinn Ewers made the biggest throw of his career to keep the Longhorns' hopes alive. Ohio State throttled Oregon, jumping out to a 34-0 lead. Can anyone stop them? Notre Dame dominated the middle four minutes, scoring 17 points in less than four minutes around halftime to take a commanding lead over Georgia. Penn State fought off a scare from Boise State and leaned on its running game to win the Fiesta Bowl.

Notre Dame and Penn State will face off in the Orange Bowl. The Fighting Irish and Nittany Lions are similar teams that will rely heavily on their defenses. If this game comes down to quarterback play, who should we trust more? Ohio State is rolling, but Texas might have the defense to match up against Jeremiah Smith and company. Can Texas be consistent enough on offense to pose a threat to the Buckeyes, or will we see another blowout?

Heading into the playoffs, why is Ohio State vs Tennessee the best game of the first round? Could SMU be the team to pull the biggest upset? Are we sure Texas is good this year? The Longhorns lack any key wins and have looked pedestrian at times.

  • Week 14 Preview, Rivalry Weekend

It's officially rivalry week in college football! Before Jake and William jump into the slate for this weekend, it's all about the College Football Playoffs. Who did the committee rank too high, who was ranked too low, and who was sitting just right in their eyes? Also, Mack Brown is out—who should replace him at North Carolina?

Ohio State handled business against Indiana. The Hoosiers gave the Buckeyes a test early in the game but ultimately could not find consistent offense. Alabama was trampled by Oklahoma, with Jalen Milroe throwing three interceptions. Alabama's playoff hopes are now on life support. Billy Napier and Florida pulled off another upset, pushing Ole Miss out of the playoffs. Florida is hot and could suddenly be in line to win eight games if they beat Florida State and win their bowl game.

Heading into rivalry weekend, we see the renewed matchup of Texas vs. Texas A&M. Can Texas find enough consistency on offense to give the Aggies problems? Ohio State has lost to Michigan for three straight years. The Buckeyes enter as 20 point favorites—what can Michigan do to give themselves a chance? Finally, South Carolina and Clemson will face off for a potential spot in the College Football Playoffs. Who has the edge in this Palmetto Bowl?

Don't forget to stick around for the Walk-On Weekly 10, where Jake and Will make their picks against the spread!

  • Week 13 Preview, Unlikely B1G Matchup

Jake and William are back and they are starting this episode with the Goldie Locks of the College Football rankings. Who is too high, who is too low and who is sitting just right? We only have a few more weeks until the final playoff rankings so we are beginning to get clarity.

Last weekend lacked too many fireworks but we did see a few key matchups. Georgia was able to handle Tennessee keeping their playoff hopes alive and now Tennessee needs to win out in order to remain in the hunt. Oregon avoided an upset after calling a questionable fake field goal while BYU and Kansas State both were upset adding additional chaos to the Big 12.

Indiana and Ohio State will matchup this weekend in an unlikely matchup between top five teams. Indiana is undefeated and looking to beat Ohio State for the first time since 1988. A win for either team and they are nearly guaranteed a spot in the playoffs. Kansas will also look to pull the upset for the third week in a row. Will Colorado fall to the Jayhawks? Army is contending for a playoff spot but they have to beat Notre Dame in order to make it. Does Army actually have a shot?

  • Week 12 Preview, SEC Bias?

Week 11 is complete and before heading into Week 12, we have to recap this past weekend. William and Jake start by discussing the new College Football Playoff rankings giving their thoughts on who is too high and who is too low. Looking back at last week, LSU was destroyed by Alabama eliminating any hope of an appearance in the College Football Playoffs. Miami finally saw their luck run out and Georgia's streak of bad games also saw them fall to Ole Miss. Who is more likely to miss the playoffs now between Georgia and Miami?

Heading into this weekend we have a light slate of games headlined by Tennessee vs Georgia. A win for Tennessee could knock Georgia out of any contention for the College Football Playoffs. Clemson's chances are currently on life support and they need a big win on the road against Pitt to stay in the hunt for the ACC Championship. Missouri believes they are still in contention for the playoffs but both Jake and William believe South Carolina will end any hope on Saturday.

Make sure to stick around for the Walk-On Weekly 10 as William has a commanding lead over Jake with just a few weeks left in the season.
