It topped 106 degrees in Houston last week, but that didn’t stop associates from getting in the holiday spirit at the 2023 Walmart and Sam’s Club Holiday Meeting. Naturally, Kirby, Chris and Bo were on location to broadcast the merriment. Kirby celebrated the gift of giving with front end coach Wyndell from Store 2473 in Hilo, Hawaii, and discovered how Store 2473 associates put the fun in fundraising for last year’s Children’s Miracle Network hospitals campaign. Meanwhile, Hector (aka Captain Positive) from Store 5166 in Deming, New Mexico, gave Chris a good laugh – along with the idea for his next t-shirt slogan! The phones were ringing off the hook at the Walmart and Sam’s Club Radio studio last week, and Kirby, Bo and Chris were ready for all the convos. Kirby jumped right into the Group Chat, where she and Producer Dave discussed the new trend for couples getting married. Then, Justin from Store 3632 in Sandusky, Michigan, called Kirby a second time after Producer Dave accidentally hung up on him! Bo brought out some brain busters for a lightning round of Yes or No Way Bo, and Santrice from Store 1184 in Stone Mountain, Georgia, was up for the challenge. Chris channeled his inner thespian with a laugh-out-loud reenactment of a famous 90s comedy. Big Time Brenda from Store 767 in Lake City, Florida, officially made Kirby's day, and Kirby's started working on a jingle in her honor. Chris' week was already going swimmingly when Sue from Store 923 in Noblesville, Indiana, called in with an enthusiastic 89th birthday shoutout to fellow associate Billie. Meanwhile, Lauren from Store 2757 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, helped Bo crack a very sticky case from Detective Product. What else? Calling all associates – no wait, it was the other way around! The associates fired up the Walmart and Sam’s Club Radio airwaves and kept Chris, Kirby and Bo on their toes in this week’s episode. Chris got the show started with some soaring theatrics during a round of Guess the Movie. Zach from Store 2940 in West Monroe, Louisiana swooped in with the correct answer. Meanwhile, a very domestic Bo’s Impossible Question generated a laundry list of responses, including some great ones from Gina from Store 2541 in Alliance, Ohio, Shane from Store 492 in Vincennes, Indiana, and Glen from Store 2335 in Madison, Wisconsin. And Kirby turned the spotlight on associate Jane Marshall of Store 20 in Clinton, Missouri, in You Glow Girl. Jane was Walmart’s very first female manager, and after 48 years with the company, she retired on July 29. I think we can all agree with Kirby when she celebrated the icon with these words: “Thank you for paving the way for so many women in the Walmart and Sam’s Club world.”

Bo got things started with a lightning round of Yes or No Way Bo, and Sherri from Neighborhood Market 3521 in Sherman, Texas, stepped up to the plate and said, challenge accepted. Over in the Group Chat, Kirby and Producer Dave discussed the video-game-inspired TikTok craze that has viewers scratching their heads – and creators making . And Chris and Producer Tanner directed a live version of Guess the Movie at the grand reopening of Store 225 in Sulphur, Oklahoma. From the sweetest ingredient for bug repellant to the oldest soft drink in America, no topic was off limits for the Walmart and Sam’s Club radio team. Kirby spotlighted the talent of Brianna Holmes from Store 462 in Alvin, Texas, who performed at this year’s Associate Celebration! Brianna has advice for anyone nervous about trying something new: “Remember that life is like potatoes. It’s lumpy and unpredictable, but good in so many ways.” The Bo Show kicked off with Brandi from Store 492 in Vincennes, Indiana, who had a shoutout for her automotive team as well as a squeaky-clean guess for Bo’s Impossible Question. And after a week spent riding roller coasters and eating well in sunny California, Chris returned to the Walmart and Sam’s Club Radio studio ready to play! Luckily, Ben from Store 5382 in Pasadena, Maryland, was all too ready to take Chris on in a round of Take on Me. What else? Bo and Kirby brought the fireworks to the Walmart and Sam’s Club Radio studio last week. Bo kicked off the show with a July Fourth-themed Impossible Question, and Chere, Brenda and Maria from Store 5876 in Dunedin, Florida, lit up the airwaves with their guesses! Bo also took a moment to shine the spotlight on Tyler from Store 569 in Columbia, Kentucky, who started his journey to parenthood with the help of Walmart’s family-building services through Kindbody. While Bo partied like it was the Fourth of July, Kirby broke out the Member’s Mark hot dogs for a different celebration: the 35th anniversary of Sam’s Club 6317 in Canton, Ohio. Club manager Shane helped her emcee the party, along with curbside pickup associate Molly, who declared her team to be the best part of Sam’s Club. “I love my coworkers,” she said.
