The phone lines lit up the Walmart World Radio studio last week with associates, customers and even vendors dialing in with shoutouts, birthday wishes and milestone moments. Linda from Store 1456 in Evanston, Wyoming, shared a jellybean moment with Kirby, while Jackie explained why Store 1347 in San Antonio, Texas, is the “one and not the two.” Later, on the Chris Show, Nicole from Store 1012 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, showered some praise on the 4 a.m. crew. This week, Kirby, Chris and Bo joined thousands of associates in Orlando, Florida, for Walmart’s annual Year Beginning Meeting (YBM). Bo got the IRL party started with a supersized Impossible Question, and then asked Janet from Store 731 in Demopolis, Alabama, to try her luck 🍀 in a St. Paddy’s Day round of Detective Product. Meanwhile, Chris was exploring some delicious Pi Day possibilities when market manager Jeff Eversole stopped by the show to share some news: after 41 years with Walmart, he was passing the baton to the next generation of leaders. If the plethora of shout outs that followed was any indication, Jeff left some pretty big shoes to fill. Speaking of footwear, Kirby was kicked back and crowd watching when she spotted a group of individuals “so fly, they have matching shoes, matching hats.” Turns out it was her girl Sheila leading a crew from Market 93 in Central Florida. It was all fun and games last week at Walmart World Radio! Bo called it a draw when Ruth from Store 3730 in Prescott, Arizona, tried her luck at Yes or No Way Bo. It was an open and shut case for Rebecca from Store 3807 in Benson, Arizona, who effortlessly outsmarted Detective Product. Brian from Store 1165 in Radcliff, Kentucky, helped Chris kick things off right when he called with the winning answer to What Year Was It and offered a victory shoutout to his mom. A nonstop succession of birthday shoutouts compelled Chris to semi-retire his air horn. After thanking the associates making it happen in clubs and stores across the country, Kirby gave producer Dave some real time applause. But it was the double shoutout from AJ and Wanda from Store 1737 in Villa Park, Illinois, that cued a standing ovation. Wanda’s been at Store 1737 for 23 years!
